Star Watching (merged)

No, your opinion is not a fact Sab. It's an opinion. You may think isn't a fact, but it really isn't bro.

On Seastrunk:

"And Seastrunk's situation did not have anything to do with the past year."- this is what you said

He said that it did have an effect. So you are either calling him a liar or are wrong on your facts.

Dude, I am not doing the legwork for you. If you haven't been paying attention to what has gone on at Florida and Alabama recently then that's completely your problem, but there is no possible way our situation has been worse. None. They have had equally disconcerting issues. Heck, didn't Alabama just get hit by the NCAA for "lack of institutional control"? Aren't they on probation for it? I mean come on. No one is buying that it's worse here.

Seastrunk never visited here. Never. And if his reason for not visiting is based on our track record with athletes in trouble, then he is obviously basing that on incidents prior to last year. It's not rocket surgery.

The off-field issues aren't Dooley's biggest problem...they just add to the staleness of the program. Using Florida & Bama's problems to illustrate how our own shouldn't be an issue for Dooley doesn't make sense...those programs are actually winning & winning cures quite a bit.

Given some of the schools these guys have offered already, I feel pretty good that they want to be Vols. We have some top 25 finishers, some bowl winners, some conference winners, and we are competing with them when we are down because even on the darkest days we are still TENNESSEE!!! And the players Dooley wants to get are excited about even when the rest of the country's not. The absentness of stars might be replaced by heart, class and willingness to do whatever it takes to promote the Tennessee Volunteers to the next level.

I know for a fact that heart can change a game, heart is what pushes a player to stay in bounds and take the hit for two more yards instead of ducking out. Heart is what makes a player work in the weightroom and film room even on his off days (See Crompton last year). Heart is what makes those guys give it all they got in the fourth even when winning seems impossible because if their school is gonna lose it's going to do so with class, integrity and pride!

The sign says, "I will give my all for TENNESSEE today!" not I will try hard enough to get a multi-million deal after college....

I want players who want to be here and have the heart because Heart will win us more games than it will lose us.

GO VOLS!

I don't know about that. It definitely cut down the 2010 class which was slated to address a heck of a lot of issues that badly need fixing. Losing Aaron Douglas really hurts and Bryce Brown leaving sucks, but that's not doubling the attrition rate or anything.

As for the players that left when Kiffin rolled into town, I really don't miss most of them.

Okay, maybe double is a push, but we lost a lot of players when Fulmer was replaced, some left, some Kiffin kicked off, then we lost several more when Kiffin jumped ship. The program is definitely worse than he found it and that is due to Kiffins actions. The losses we accumulated from Kiffin were much worse than any gains we had by his recruiting.

Empassioned. Don't fret though. There are "islands of sanity" in the VolNation ocean.

The key, of course, is Saban et al. also know who can and cannot play as well. We need to match them, especially at skill positions.

Fail by you for:

1. Creating this topic
2. Putting it in this forum
3. Not knowing how to spell the Head Coach's name

If your going to post a rant calling out people at least get the coaches name right, I have no idea what the rest of your post says, nor do I care, since you can't even get his name right I figure the rest of your post is useless.

I certainly believe our situation is worse that Florida and Alabama's from a national perspective.

add Florida to Crowder's list.

add LSU to Posey's list.

you should add Malik Jackson too imo. CDD did a great job of recruiting him.

we have moved up 19 spots in the recruiting rankings in the past 4 days.

Yea I meant to add Malik. At work, So I just threw that together. thanks for the input.

It is. It's not even close. Anyone who says otherwise isn't paying attention or just to stubborn to admit they are wrong.

didnt realize everyone would be breaking out the red pens...its fixed...

Well it isn't as if it was just another word, it was the subject of your post, and it wasn't as if it was just a typo, you did it multiple times.

I hardly ever call people out for typos...but when you are going to rant like that and rag on people you better have your stuff in one pile.
