UK has some good pieces also. The Oregon transfer that will be eligible this season at UK is said to be the real deal. The JC post will be good, they return their point guard and their leading scorer who almost led them to a victory over us in Lexington. I wouldn't sleep on them. They gave SC their only conference victory last season and I think they will be better than they were last season.
All Kentucky was missing last year was a quality post player. Bishop sucked lol...but their guards are really good, the point guard you're talking about is Epps. Her and Harper make a formidle backcourt and add in Akhator, I can agree with you, they shouldn't be slept on in the SEC. Like you said, they beat USC last year, something we couldnt accomplish.
The only reason UK beat SC last year was because Welch was playing sick in that game. Welch plays they win going away.
As an SC fan, I will give Kentucky more credit than that. They often give us a hard time just because of their aggressive style of play. I think the officials let them get away with too much. Especially constant blatant shoves. But when it doesn't get called, it gives us problems.
I would love to have Stephanie Mavunga at Tennessee, but she would only be a backup to
Mercedes Russell and if she could play this year Bashaara Graves would also play in front of her. I bet Jasmine Jones could beat her out also at the 4. If not Tennessee hope for an SEC school.

Lord help with this post. She wouldn't be eligible this season and no way in hell would Jasmine Jones beat her out for a starting position at PF. TBH she would easily get minutes over both players no questions asked if it were up to me. I'm not that big on Graves anymore and I'm even less on Jasmine Jones who has proven zilch through her career at UT thus far.
I do not understand why LV fans want elite talent to go to other SEC schools like SC and Kentucky. I guess y'all don't enjoy winning the league. Holly needs as much elite talent as she can possibly get. Recruits aren't exactly lining up to come here like they used to, and we sure aren't winning anything solely on coaching.
Welch played 23 minutes in that game. She was in foul trouble for most of the game.
SC lost because they got cocky, thought they had the league won, and went into Lexington and thought they had it in the bag. BIG mistake, but it was obvious given their low energy and laziness for most of that game. The only player that showed up was Wilson. Mitchell and Coates were complete no-shows. There is no way around it: SC blew it, and it cost them the outright league title.
As for fouls, it was a horrible crew who did that game (Zentz, Rezac and Dickerson). That being said, teams should, by now, expect that going into Lexington. And their style didn't stop Tennessee from from beating them three times last season, including in Lexington.

No way in heck would i want her to go to another one of our SEC rivals.
Why are so many fans afraid of strong competition? Do we want to win because we are good, or simply by default because everyone else is so weak? If the competition is so bad, does the victory have any value? Is it like the trophies kids get in sports for participation, regardless of skill level? To truly be the best, you have to beat the best. I say bring it on! If everyone wants to go to South Carolina, it will make a victory over them that much sweeter.
