Steve McNair found, shot to death

I think she is as guilty as Steve. It takes two to tango. Realistically 10-15 years of age difference isn't as big a gap as you would think. Parents could not stand in the way of that kind of relationship IMO. I am not 100 pct convinced it is a murder/suicide though.

I think most don't want it to be a murder/suicide, but as has been said, the simpliest explaination appears to be the correct one.

Seeing Eddie George break down on camera is kind of tough to stomach. Great comments from he and Fisher on this tragic situation.

is there a link to the fisher comments because i can not seem to find them on the titans site or the nfl section of espn? maybe i am just overlooking it somehow.

Have they looked at her father?

This girl was 20 years old. Some 36 year old with a wife and 4 kids starts sniffing around my kid when she is 20. Famous athlete or not, I'll be the prime suspect when he turns up ventilated.

I'm a Titans and a McNair fan. I hate to say this but, it's looking like Steve made a mistake we males seem to make sometimes. Thinking with the wrong head. That mistake has gotten many men killed before McNair, and many are sure to follow.

i was recently in a relationship for 8 months that was incredibly similiar to this one. the ages were the same, the girl foreign born. being a married man and a father, it was a big mistake not the fact that she was 16 years younger. there is no excuse for the pain that i caused my family. however, at no point did i deserve to be shot or killed. i'm not a bad person just not perfect.

Just wanted to say that I'm officially done with the Sports Animal morning show. Every single day, I listen to Heather and MD try to articulate ridiculous thoughts. I really believe that Heather has NO idea what she's talking about, and MD has not passed 6th grade English class. His grammar is so bad that I don't even know how he got an internship at a radio station...much less the program director job in a medium market.
Today, MD pretty much said McNair is to blame for this thing too. I don't know the facts of the crime yet (nobody seems to) but I don't care what happened behind the scenes. NOBODY deserves to be murdered like this. The fact that he really try to make that claim just makes me furious that there isn't another sports radio option in the morning. I really will listen to the Rob Halford look-alike on the pop station before listening to WNML again.

did you get caught?

Yes that was sad...

This situation is sad but only for his kids, wife and the rest of the family. What goes around comes around! Had he been where he was supposed to be this wouldn't have happened. Apparently this isn't the 1st time he was cheated on his wife.

Depends on what she meant by "blame". He certainly shouldn't have been doing what he was doing, being a married man and all, and he's left a lot of pain for his family. So I think his actions warrant criticism in this case. But I agree saying he deserved to die is ridiculous.

What bugs me is the way people keep trying to judge McNair in this situation. Nobody knows what was really going on. He and his wife could have had an open relationship or something like that. I don't know, I'm just saying that everyone likes to create senarios in their head that allow them to get on some high-horse in a situation like this one. It's sickening.
Of course infidelity is unfortunate, but that is for nobody but his wife to worry about. I'd imagine she's mourning his death more than feeling sorry for herself because he was possibly hooking up with some other woman.

I'm having a hard time understanding how you're coming to that conclusion. And I don't think "feeling sorry for herself" is what she's feeling knowing her husband was murdered in the company of another woman.

Wrong...do you realize how many kids and people look up to him?

And I'm having a hard time understanding how you guys are choosing harp on his alleged sins at the time of his death. You are probably the same folks who made Michael Jackson jokes last week, aren't you?
Anyone who will try to argue that a good man's death was justifiable immediately afterwards is just not the kind of person I have a lot in common with.
Oh, and he is a former football player. It's not his job to teach kids what is right and wrong. That's a parent's job.

I know you're not talking to me.

Nope

I know you're not talking to me.

Sure I am. You and the guy who said it's his job to live his life in a way that will teach little kids what is right and wrong.
I guessed that his wife is probably mourning more than feeling sorry for herself that her husband might have been a cheater, because I tried to put myself in her shoes. If I found out that my wife was hooking up with another dude, and was murdered while doing it, I'd definitely not harp on the cheating thing like everyone in the media wants to. Sure, that would suck and all, but if my wife was murdered, I'd sure be mourning the loss a lot more than wanting to focus on what she did to deserve it. Nobody deserves it!

Actually I am a girl!

absolutely ignorant. In no way does him cheating on his wife warrant getting murdered.

it's not his fault people are stupid and look up to false idols. He's just a person. Just because he's an athlete doesn't put him on any more of a pedestal than it does you or I.
