He was headed here before Pearl got fired. He had already told the staff he was coming. A staff member told me that before the start of that season. In his KNS interview when he signed a year early he told them the same thing.

I hope he stays because NCAA basketball offers competition that is closer to his skill level, which will help him work on his game more. Plus, he's got a good supporting cast that could help make some noise next year at Tennessee and improve his draft status. That's just IMO as I am just a fan.

True. He could have chosen to simply wait and enroll in the fall too though when we would have had an available scholarship.

Just twitter searched this he was at the grizzlies game with SJ Tuohy the kid from blindside 2 days ago. Obviously they're are making him go to ole miss now.

A UT poster named "AfricaVol" posted on MT.org that Stokes is in Memphis and does not plan to return to Knoxville.

I assumed this thread was just crap, but there may be some fire here.

My guess...he's in Memphis probably working out for/with some people trying to get some feedback. I don't think a decision has likely been made either way, but if he isn't back in Knoxville soon that's bad news. On that same note, if he doesn't return to Knoxville he deserves a lot of criticism and has lost any respect I have for him. It will hurt our APR, and there's no reason he should not be finishing out the year academically, heck even the UK players do.

Come on now. Why would the UK players return to finish out their classes if they never started going to them in the 1st place? :p

We are cursed. Just like we never got to see Da'Rick, Hunter,and CP on the field at the same time, we will not get Maymon and Stokes together for a full season. What's next? Is Mercedes Russell going to tear her ACL? Is Hurd going to decide to give up football in favor of starting a llama farm in Peru?

It's pretty thoughtless, regarding our APR, because he could ruin a postseason chance for players who come after him.
Perhaps the work put in by the players who came before him doesn't mean much to him, because he never played in the NCAAT anyway.

(if he really is bailing out)

No kidding.
Look at how many NBA players go through UK every year, and they don't have to worry about their APR getting tanked.
We get ONE player like that, and we are rumored to be taking an APR hit.

Curious...are Jarnell Stokes and Isabelle Harrison DATING? I just browsed on her twitter pics, and from the looks of some pictures they are currently or have had in the past.
