Stranger Things

Just because it's intentional and consistent doesn't mean they always pull it off. Sometimes it works and other times it's groan worthy.
I get that...I just think they pull it off most of the time very well, so I don't care when they miss. If you are one of those that don't like it to start with, then you are naturally going to look for even slight fails to pick at. I get that it's not for everybody, but I love it. I loved the Terminator schtick for instance, when it seems to bother a lot of you guys. I think it may be a generational thing.

Terminator is my generation and I'm obsessed. I know it so well I told my wife the outfit is supposed to be T1 and the hair is T2. The nod was fine but the actor, and thus delivery, was garbage. If you can't get a guy who can do a Russian accent, at least get a buff dude. There was no reason for this to be such a low budget effort.

I can't stand them either. The whole thing where the old guard at the paper belittles her was do over the top and stupid. Every scene with those two was a pass

That scene made me chuckle only because it was so ridiculous. I haven't liked either since the show began.

Just finished season 3. I'm so pissed about...

Them killing off Hopper! He was by far my favorite character on the show!

Also...

I hate that Billy died too. Sure, he was a prick but I liked his character.

Also...

I kept wondering who the token gay character was going to be. I was honestly surprised at who it turned out to be.

Also...

I know the show can be silly/funny at times but the whole Neverending Story musical scene was a bit too far imo. It was very groan-worthy.

Also..

I got genuinely misty-eyed at the ending with Eleven reading Hopper's speech.

I could have sworn the show stated 1984 as the year for season 3 (ep 1), yet new coke didn’t come out until 1985.
