Student Suspended For Removing Mexican Flag

and where did i say the school shouldn't take responsibility over what flag is hung in their school? both situations, have the school administrators being active.

To a different extent.

The school has a "dog in the hunt" now, they put their self in the middle of this by taking their stance. And if other students, and parents have an issue with the schools stance, they have to deal with now.

And as I stated before, I highly doubt they thought this would be accepted by everyone.

Like I've said before, I would understand the outcry if the flag was being flown on the flagpole, but it wasn't.

with Irish flags all around!!!

Um. You see a lot of those, personally? I honestly have not. And I don't recall the person in charge of the streets putting an Irish flag anywhere. You think people would be irritated if some bum off the street had wondered into the school holding a Mexican flag? That's a far more comparable situation to the instances you've presented.

There's utterly no difference. I've shot their notion of tax payers dollars being involved down.

Because the government laid down a road, they are then responsible for a flag being held on it? Does that mean we should be pissed at Uncle Sam for putting that car bomb in Times Square last week?

i don't have to see them personally. It's called the Internet. It's been documented by news organizations.

And in one of those pictures I showed, the mayor of that city wasn't involved???? His podium must have just been decoration.

Read. Read again. Actually, just forget it.

I'm sorry that I don't feel like reading 100+ posts of national elitist bull.

There is nothing wrong with being tolerable of people's culture. Just as long as they don't force it upon you. Sort of like the way Americans do to people...

They are flying a flag that represents another nation. The same thing they were doing with the Mexican flag.
One is a school endorsement and the other is a parade with American flag next to it.

And even if it was a Cinco de Mayo parade with just Mexican flags, I wouldn't have really had a problem. I do have a problem with the school hanging a Mexican flag.

heck of a point.... a kid put the flag up at the school... had nothing to do with the government.... Please, just stop.

That's garbage. You've bought into a lot of crap.

but, but other countries do it... so lets be like them, even though, the US has more immigrants than all other countries combined

It's America, and an American school. It's not suppressing anything.

So we should just stop teaching foreign language or world history and teach nothing but American history?

They were flying the flag to recognize Cinco de Mayo. Not proclaiming to be a Mexican funded or ran school.

That's also a trash argument. Immigrants that come here can retain their culture, but they should damn well understand that they're living in a new country, and inside America's borders, their country comes second.
