Not arg
Not arguing. Just wondering. Who should not have gotten the innings they got for these 2 to get more. Remember Zach was hurt for a long period of time. The bullpen was so loaded it was hard to get innings.
Both boys are draftable and low amount of innings did them no favors. Per the roster, Joyce was a Senior and Jenkins a Junior. Who gets less innings? As you note, the bullpen is so loaded with players. Maybe what's best for the program, but not for the kids. They burn up eligibility. To answer the question, I'd first look at players not available for the draft and that threw less than 15 innings, then I'd look at some of the regular players left in games too long and giving up runs. Joyce's injury lasted like 4-5 weeks, he saw action like one more time. Saw no post season play, and was rarely used prior to his injury. Jenkins was good to go, no injury I'm aware of, hardly pitched at all. Looked at the stats, both boys combined for 26 innings.
