we got a guy from hoover?
WOW! not that i didn't believe that CLT WAS a great recruiter, but hoover?!?! that's pretty much a prep school for bama!! picking a guy up out of hoover is huge IMO. CLT is a freak recruiter obviously!!:rock::rock:

Except he was committed to WVU.

John Propst, 3-Star ILB from Hoover, AL.

Dontavis Sapp, 2-Star Safety from Valdosta, GA.

Dave Clark, 4-Star JUCO CB from Independence, KS.

May see one more, not sure yet.

Can anyone confirm they (Sapp, Propst, Crump) have actual scholarship offers?? Crump I don't think does. Or are they just saying they'll commit? I'm hoping that these are backups. We've got a couple blue-chip DB's & LB's on the board already. I see no need to offer scholy's to more that are lower tier. Also, we need OL's! Plus DR & MA!

If the coaching staff takes a commitment, they have a scholarship waiting for them if they stay committed and sign an LOI. That's fact. The only way a commit doesn't sign, is if the coaching staff accepts someone else's first. It has happened in the past.

these new guys being announced is a little bit of a surprise to me

Kinda surprised me a little at first but now that I think about it, it makes sense. With all the LB's we're looking at we have to be switching to a 3-4. there's no other explanation. Don't get the Sapp commitment though.

Last Year we played a bunch of walkons , we get 2-3 star players commited and some on here fuss and complain.... I'd hate to be a recruit and read these forums.

Recruiting guys with class and integrity rather than thugs, tend to translate into better academic performance.

Ralph Williams shouldn't even be counted right now, he's not letting the new staff recruit him. So, we have 24 commits. In a perfect world, we get Ambles or Rogers, Stone, and more than likely Robinson. That's what I am hoping for. Of course, we could take Glass, Stone, Robinson, and strike out with Ambles and Rogers and I would still be tickled.

I haven't read all the way through yet. Been watching the Vols beat Flouridah.

Have we heard anything on Glass at this point?? I don't expect to hear anything on Stone and Robinson until NSD.

GBO!!!!!!

Vols lead with Glass. Vols lead for Stone, I am told. Robinson really likes us.
