Rivals has 25 commits listed now.

I assumed we were losing 2, which would leave us with 4 spots left.

Then I see we may still be in it for Copeland.

Three spots left may be a problem if we land Ambles and Rogers.

That must mean Stone is either the only one they think we'll get, or maybe we're out of it for all but Glass on the OL.

I've heard different things on here about if CDD will accept > 27 commits prior to NSD.

Like I said, don't count Ralph Williams. We have 24 right now. We finish with 3 more, IMO. Things have changed now.

when Fulmer was pulling 2* recruits in 2008 people were upset.

Dooley does it in 2009, when we have bigger fish out there "interested" and its okay. i understand that we are just looking to fill our class after the X fiasco, but we are still in it with other "big names." Im not thrilled that we are wasting a spot on a 2* saftey when DL and OL are big needs. not to mention the possibility of Rogers or Ambles signing. Then there is Glass, Robinson, and Stone that are certainly possibilities still.

I understand we were just trying to catch up, but now we have the right to be picky. I feel as if we are just handing out schollys now...

The way I see it and I could be wrong, is that we will backcount 5 to last years class(2009) which will leave us with 20 at this time. We can sign 28 plus have 3 gray-shirts. So 31-20=11. So at this point we can still sign 11 more recruits. I am positive that with CDD back ground in recruiting and law he knows every nick and cranny + loopholes there is in the ncaa and sec recruiting rule books. I could be wrong but I dont think I am.

Your information is wrong in pretty much every possible way. This topic has been discussed and explained to on this site. We signed 23 last year. We can back count 2. That's 27 people that we can enroll. The SEC limit is 28 that can be signed, but that's not including the back counts. Follow closely now... 28 SEC total + 2 EE Backcounts = a total of 30 signed players with only 27 of those being able to enroll.

I'm a little surprised to find out the coaches accepted a commitment from Sapp this early, but Propst and Clark are solid pickups IMO. Clark could fill the void left by Rogan from day 1.

I keep seeing people list Robinson as a good possibility to sign with UT. Has he even visited? I know he was scheduled to be here this weekend...but did not make it in. I would not rate our chances high on a guy who has not been here. Am I missing something? :unsure:

Demon Vol: Sorry but your information is completely wrong(except that this has been discussed and explained on this andmost other college football fan threads) my dear friend. SEC says that you can sign 28 per year, not including grayshirts, etc, so we can backcount 5 from last year. It is a very complicating subject. Thankfully the only person who really needs to 100% understand the rules is CDD.
