It's hard to fly under the radar at Hoover, just too high profile of a school. Especially with Bama & Auburn routinely checking in.

Demon Vol: Sorry but your information is completely wrong(except that this has been discussed and explained on this andmost other college football fan threads) my dear friend. SEC says that you can sign 28 per year, not including grayshirts, etc, so we can backcount 5 from last year. It is a very complicating subject. Thankfully the only person who really needs to 100% understand the rules is CDD.

You can't backcount the 3 sign and place guys that get you to the 28 limit. The amount you can enroll per year, minus back counts is 25. We signed 23 last year so we get 2 (count em, 1 and then 2) back counts. We can get 25 that count for this class into school. We can also sign 2 more that back count to last years class for a total of 27 that can enroll. We can furthermore sign 3 that are sign and place guys that don't qualify and have to go to Juco. That's a total of 30.

Stars mean nothing....I trust the staff more than anything else

Here are the 2 star guys we've signed since 2002. Seems about equally split between guys who have contributed and guys no one remembers. Wouldn't label any of these guys stars (although Hughes could be special)

Bo Hardegree
Inky Johnson
Ellix Wilson
Chris Brown
Ryan Karl
James Turner
Britton Colquitt
Chad Cunningham
Dorian Davis

it was Sydney Spencer that came from Hoover.

Propst is a smart kid and a very good lb..Helped Hoover win the state championship in 6a in Alabama this year.
HE CAN PLAY......

Rush is his uncle...but the kid has very good football instints..nose for the ball..

Sorry but I am going to agree to disagree with you and then move on. I got better things to do then dispute an issue that quite frankly I dont care about. We will just have to see how things turn out after Wednesday. Good Luck Big Orange, get as many recruits that is allowed and may they be as good as they can. GBO!!!

Borrowing from Ocho Cinco...'child, please.' Seen the kid play on numerous occasions over his 4 yr career at HHS and that wouldn't exactly be the statement I'd use.

so let me get this straight. correct me if any of this is wrong.

we are allowed a total of 27 commitments, and then 3 sign and place guys.

currently we have 25 commitments, but ralph williams isnt going to end up here, so we actually have 24. this leaves us with 3 guys we can get, and itll probably be between ambles rogers glass stone and robinson?

then my other question is will john brown make it in? and if he doesnt, he will be a sign and place and then we can bring in 4 instead of three right? haha sorry if all that is hard to follow...

There may be doubts about Loften qualifying as well. That would almost have to be the reason why we took a commitment from Sapp today. I can't see any other reason.

i believe the final spots given will be very strong star athletes, and will round out our class very well. im a confident that CDD knows what he is doing, and is getting what we need, not what everyone "thinks" we need. im not worried one bit about wednesday. as ive been saying all along, we will all be pleasantly suprised with the outcome.

so THEDON is from Maryland and claims to know more about a kid than I do and I live in HOOVER 5 minutes or so from the stadium where the kid plays all his home games.
shut up!

I didn't say he was the next coming of Al Wilson...
but he will surprise Vols fans that do not know who he is and are wondering why we snagged a 3 star lb

Excuse me sir but I was born and raised in Alabama. I attended the University of Alabama and have relatives and friends who went to Hoover and played with John Propst. (i.e. Josh Chapman ) Just bc I obtained my bachelors and masters in Industrial Engineering and moved to Maryland for work does NOT make my statements any more less valid.

why are we taking these no name players when there are 4 and 5* still out there considering use?

Because there just verblas nothing matters till they sign their LOI's. We have room for everyone that we expect to get. The coaches are tracking and pretty much know who they excpect to sign. What thw staff is doing is building much needed depth.
