These times could be a blessing in disguise. We're still playing at home in front of our crowd and Evansville will have a quicker turnaround than us. It hurts their pitching situation more as we have a better pitching staff paired with a little more rest. Also, if we go 2-0, we will be on more rest than some of the teams that make the CWS field. More rest in baseball is a pitcher's best friend. There's still a CWS bid on the line, the crowd will still bring the juice. It's all just a result of Evansville being the opponent, nothing to do with us.

Z has been eating innings up lately like he’s at an all all-you-can-eat buffet. He’s been on fire.

I guess I forgot the games are early on weekdays. I work until about 5:30 central so will miss game one. 😣

Hopefully I can find a single and drive to and from Nashville Saturday.

The women's College World Series, game 3, if needed; that's what ESPN is going to show on Friday night. Don't know about Saturday night 🙃

I’m still waiting for Beam to pitch a complete game, as in all 4 pitches working their magic. By his own admission, he just hasn’t had that one solid game throughout. Glimpses of great pitching, but hasn’t been able to stack solid stuff for 7-8 innings. I’m hoping this is the weekend for him.

It was the combination of everything; senior year, seeing Blake and Cal wipe the sand off his face, last days of tailgating and friends for me after 4 years, me now getting emotional at stupid commercials 😆, the SO and double play....
