Syrian Kurds are close to declaring Independence

NATO should be supporting one of its members, no? Deploy NATO forces against Syria and the Kurds

Ultimately, I agree. Unfortunately, when you’ve already been meddling for several decades it isn’t cool to up and drop and ally.

Not the first time we've done that over there. Nor the first time we've left one to their own devices.

Do you think NATO can be doing more to put an end to this?
NATO’s “doing more” will be to say “ok US you need to go handle this for one of our allies”. F NATO and the UN as far as I’m concerned anyone. Look at the list of our “NATO allies” that have withdrawn from the Syrian debacle.

Still ignoring reality.

Nice talk.
How so?

Turkey wanted to attack the Kurds, but didn’t want to attack American troops. So Trump took care of Erdogan’s problem. You can come up with mental gymnastics to take Trump’s side, but that is the reality. Own it.

The Turks are our NATO allies! Allies!
They are allies in name only. If the Turks attack the Russian backed Assad forces and then try you declare article 5 it won’t work because Article 5 applies in terms of self defense. An attack on one is an attack on all. It doesnt apply to acts when a NATO member is committing ng the acts of aggression.
