Does Kiffin know who is coming back at QB for us? I dont thinkhe would tell Boyd that.

It seems like we'd have some inkling of what that plan would be. It doesn't look like Nunes is coming back, Barkley's firmly committed. Who the heck else is even on our radar?

Im sure he told boyd he is a great athlete but just does not fit in with what were trying to do? Its better to tell him now then letting him come and sitting on the bech the whole time

I bet Petty would be better than what we have now. I watched him play, he's got a cannon but half his picks came from balls bouncing off of his receivers.

Dont get too worked up over this. Does anyone have the link of the comments he said after speaking with Lane Kiffin? He seems 100% all Vol and rather excited about coming to play. I think this a bull crap rumor that has been started. This kid has said nothing but positive things about the university and have no worries about him being a Vol. If CLK doesn't want him, I cannot imagine who he would rather have. There is not another national QB of Boyd's caliber that could fit at UT. If I have to put up with another year of Crapton I will shoot myself.

Remember, all verbals are NON-BINDING and can be changed at any time. The Barkley kid I think has a visit setup in a couple of weeks or so. He may be firmly at 100% but it can take one coach to convince him that he would be the right fit for his system

I haven't really seen proof that this happened... However, on Rivals recruiting front page it mentions that Boyd and Newsome are top prospects that are still looking around after previously being committed to a school. I don't have a subscription so I don't know what it talks about.

wow, if this all turns out to be true my faith in CLK has taken a hit...that is unless he can get another QB that we dont know about.

Usually these things have legs. And I have no doubt that he is happy with the Vols, it sounds more like Kiffin isn't that thrilled with him.

This is not good but I do not think that Lane Kiffin would do this for no reason. Gotta have faith in the man that he has something up his sleeve. Alot of coaches would have kept him and tried to turn him into something he is not, a db wr or rb, but Lane had enough class to tell him.

Barkley hasn't set up a visit. He is an early enrollee and will be at USC in a few weeks. Jeffrey is a WR committed to USC and has a visit set up with us in January. Boyd hasn't come out and publicly decommitted but he hasn't answered any of Hubbs calls and that's what his dad told Jerry Meyer, I believe.
