The only one I can think of that is worse is how our intel didn’t supposedly get relayed into time to prevent Pearl Harbor…..which I believe was known and allowed.

The other would be the embargo we placed on Japan that escalated WW2.

From all accounts, this makes the handling of VN look small potatoes.

I am curious of which blunder you see as bigger? Trying to see what screw up I am overlooking lol.

First, I don't consider this a military blunder. This is a political blunder but to answer your question in no particular order.

Operation Eagle Claw was an unforgivable military blunder. This one is completely on the military brass.
Our drive to the Yalu river during the Korean war, should have stopped in Pyongyang at least until the supply chains caught up.
Eisenhower approving Operation Market Garden.
Battle of Mogadishu (this is both a military and political blunder)
