We didn’t train them. We did their damn job for them. And they are reaping two decades of sitting on their asses instead of owning their situation now.

Let the taliban ride herd over the warlords, it'll keep them distracted from the rest of the world.....or better yet, let China come in and try....they too need a distraction and economical drain.

They want the Taliban to win because they are sick human beings. Just annihilate all of them before they come over here and attack us again. One Nuke would do the job.

We win the war.

The dead don't create insurgencies
The dead don't engage in terrorist attacks

For too long, our men die in these wars and we get egg in face for losing. Why? Because we don't use all the tools in our arsenal. Look at Japan. We NUKED them and they changed. Japan in 1940s was a radical, religious-based, warlord society and yet they changed to a modern Democracy and one of the most successful nations on earth.

I don’t believe the Taliban currently in Afghanistan are the same level of threat that the Japanese were during WW2. Not the best comparison imo. What city or location should the US nuke? Kandahar? Kabul? There a lot of regular people that live in Afghanistan that are not members of the Taliban.

If that is true, then why are they letting the Taliban run over the country? To me, they sound sympathetic to the Taliban. Their army outnumbers the Taliban 4-to-1 and they are getting creamed. To me, it says they WANT the Taliban to rule.

It is ok to agree to disagree. Do some research on how the Taliban came to power in the mid-nineties. There was 20 years of constant warfare that devastated Afghanistan’s economy and infrastructure before they took control. The entire country was not onboard with those terrorist azzholes. It is time for the US to leave for good and let another country train the hapless.

The thing is leaving is what causes us problems. Every country in the world sees that all they have to do to beat US is pretend to be civilians and engage in insurgency until USA leaves. Vietcong taught the world how to beat the US. We are too weak-willed to really deal with these threats. Notice that every country that wants to fight the USA now emulates the Vietcong and how they beat us in the 1960s.

This will just come back to our shores and bite us again like in 9/11. Perhaps it is time to start thinking out of the box. They don't fight fair, so why should we? They don't care about the Geneva Convention, so why should we?

It’ll be interesting to see how the Taliban plays this with 3600 American and British troops coming to pull out our people. Do they want a fight or are they going to let us do what we need to do and get our people out? IMO they would be idiotic to try and get a Blackhawk Down moment that would get the drum beating for us to go back or reestablish ourselves .
