Talked to Bray just now. Said he's declaring.

If Bray goes I wish him the best. Hope he finds a place he fits in and does well.

I don't think Patterson staying or going has anything to do with who is coaching the Vols.

Our players need to realize that much of the imbecility on this board comes from people who never attended the University of Tennessee...or any other university.

How does being a graduate make u more of a fan??? Why not just say if you can't afford to donate money to UT then you're not a real fan....

Not only did I graduate from UT, most importantly I am from Tennessee (Knoxville). Being from Tennessee definitely qualifies you as a UT fan regardless if you went to UT o not. Anyone that says otherwise is an idiot.

A fan is a fan. Nothing makes anyone more or less qualified to cheer for whoever the hell they want. I'm from Tennessee, but if someone grew up in Bangkok as a Tennessee football fan they're part of my fanbase just the same.

Said Hunter and Patterson plan to also. this hire sealed it. good luck to them in the future! GBO!

That's actually great to hear about Bray. I'm no hater, but I think Peterman at QB from day 1 of Coach Jones' tenure is better than Bray hanging around another year. Good luck to Bray. Patterson was not gonna be around no matter who was the coach, because you have to go to class to make your grades. He was outta here no matter what. Hunter I have no idea what he might have done with different circumstances, but we've got plenty of talent at WR. We will be just fine...actually, we will be better IMO.

Personally, I think a lot of people have a positive opinion about a QB they know nothing about. This is what causes backlashes like Ainge, Crompton, and Bray. People start talking about this amazing QB that is going to be the best thing since sliced bread and they don't even know his name. It isn't everyone, but people need to realize that NATHAN PETERMAN has every bit of the ability to be a great QB but also might not be. It cracks me up to see countless people talk about how they want to get rid of bray, and they think Peterson/whatever is gun'a be better. If you: know his name, have watched his highlight reels, and paid attention to his recruiting process then you can think whatever you want. I'm just tired of hearsay ruining a qb's career because they can't live up to being overhyped.

I agree with you about he Bray bashing. He was a great QB who showed his emotions. He is a kid!! Chill out people. Also I did watch peterman high school highlights, recruiting, and everything. He is more mobile, and has as goodnof an arm. We qill be fine.

If anyone wants to know if Bray is coming back next year, you should just ask SBV. He seems to have inside knowledge of all things Vols.

Glad to hear you have done your homework. I think he will as well, but people like the guy above my post (who has since corrected his misspelling of Peterman) drive me crazy. They post their opinion about how great they will be without even knowing the most basic think about an up and coming player.

Bray is fooling himself. He is a slacker and probably doesn't want to play for a coach that will make him try hard. I do not see him being anything at the next level. Not sour grapes, because I have been posting this for a long time now.

The sad truth is that he has the physical tools, but he is not ready from a football IQ and emotional standpoint. He could really use a year under a real coach like Butch Jones.

My comment referred to so-called fans who in reality are mere spectators, hecklers whenever their personal appetites are not satisfied. Doesn't mean that folks can't be fans if they did not attend UT. But those who didn't are the ones hawking out verbal globs of snot at our university's players and coaches.

Although bray has the arm, I don't think he has the mental toughness to play pro. He is easily frazzled and starts making bad decisions. That is a character flaw that I don't think gets coached up. He reminds me of a shuler- great talent but not a complete enough package for the next level.
Losing hunter and Patterson hurts. Those guys I would love to have kept, but we knew this coaching hire would send them on their way

See Ryan Leaf. Lots of talent. No brains or maturity. Compared to Leaf, Bray lacks all. Enough said.

A very good comparison, but I don't think Bray will even match Leaf's NFL career. Bray's ceiling right now is what Erik Ainge did with the Jets.

Now, if he came back and learned to play the game from a real coach, I could see him taking a big step forward.

None of the juniors who can draft out will stay and it's hard to blame them. UT is a hot mess, and an unpopular AD just made a very controversial hire. I wish them the best and am glad they stuck with UT for as long as they did. It hasn't been a fun three years for players or fans.
