TARGET Unveils Pride Collection That Includes LGBT Rainbow Onesies For Newborns

So, you're acknowledging this matter to be an abomination.

Start another thread, about the others ...

No, I'm pointing out that your outrage, supposedly grounded in 2500+ year old ramblings, is a ruse because other things that are labeled as "abominations" in those ramblings don't seem to be on your outrage radar.

didn’t realize believers had a trademark on rainbows. You guys are so sensitive.

what do you mean by "believers" ?

"so sensitive" is a terrible defense on your part (even non believers believe in and approve of a system of infringement protection << I'm simply showing what the true, 3000+ year old purpose of the rainbow is, as written).

Genesis 9:12And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: 13I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.

And God hates all people having equal rights?

Many people don't like what Company is doing, by its usage of the rainbow for such purposes (there's no such right to take another's token in such manner).

So, if a national/global artillery retailer were to confiscate / utilize the Company's sign/logo to promote its own business of artillery trade: show us why Company might or might not hire your defense services if you are known to categorize trademark/copyright/logo/token/sign protections by such claim as "If you don't like what (artillery business) is doing, take your money elsewhere."

Genesis 9:12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: 12 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.

Breaking Down The Elements
To prevail on a claim of trademark infringement, a plaintiff must establish that it has a valid mark entitled to protection; and that the defendant used the same or a similar mark in commerce in connection with the sale or advertising of goods or services without the plaintiff's consent.

It’s simply a natural phenomena for which ancient man wove into a fairy tale. A rainbow isn’t god’s promise… it’s simply the refraction of light off water droplets. It has always occurred.

I mean people who believe in and take the Bible literally.

A particular traditional ideology?!?! Lol. Weird that every culture that has ever existed has held this same "particular traditional ideology". You make it sound like it is some arbitrary quirky accident that we have oriented our societies around biological imperatives like heterosexual pair bonding.
You beat me to it. I had no idea that biology was an ideology.

I assume you're also out there protesting banks and credit cards that charge interest. You know, Leviticus and all.

I assume you abstain from all of these "abominations"

Leviticus also proclaims many other acts and objects to be abominations. Leviticus 24:16 sentences blasphemers to death; 11:7-8 forbids consumption of pork; 11:9-12 forbids shellfish; and 20:10 sentences adulterers to death.
Banks can charge all the interest they want. The key is to not play their game and not pay it.

It is Gods promise in my belief. We all know how rainbows occur in nature. You can make one with a water hose on a sunny day. Everyone knows this. Just think about this for a moment: It hardly ever rained where Noah and his family lived. It is very likely that they had never seen a natural rainbow. As God spoke to them he caused a rainbow to appear before them as a symbol of his war bow, a symbol of peace from him. Another theory is that before the flood, the atmosphere was thicker, and may have eliminated the appearance of natural rainbows all together. The light refraction would have been a little different in this case pre flood. I know I'm talking to a brick wall here, but still.

I'm working one case at a time (this one, not the others) ; in the event there are Christians on this forum sitting on the fence with this matter: they now observe that even you have acknowledged this activity as abomination.

I had no idea rainbows were symbols of Christianity. I thought they were just pretty.

Note: We're talking abominable activity (NOT deservable judgement << judement is another matter / another discussion ; e.g.

a. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life

b. 6For at just the right time, while we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. 8But God proves His love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

EVERYONE is a sinner (i.e. the fact is proved by yourself having pointed out the other abominations).

How many more paragraphs is UT Rex going to type up to try and convince grown adults that god trademarked rainbows?
I always get a kick out of people that quote the Bible in arguments with non-believers.

It’s akin to quoting Marx in an argument with a Democratic Capitalist.

I'm speaking with a lawyer ; being a lawyer, he/she is obviously prepared to listen to the evidence (as much evidence as is presented, as I understand it, so long as it is material, relevant and authentic -- Genesis 9:12 is most-assuredly authentic << even the Egyptians must agree).

I had no idea rainbows were symbols of Christianity. I thought they were just pretty.

So, you acknowledge you had no idea. It is therefore possible than thousands of others also had no idea.

What better way to learn, than to be told, hear and consider the evidence ?

Genesis 9:8Then God said to Noah and his sons with him, 9“Behold, I now establish My covenant with you and your descendants after you, 10and with every living creature that was with you—the birds, the livestock, and every beast of the earth—every living thing that came out of the ark. 11And I establish My covenant with you: Never again will all life be cut off by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.”

12And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between Me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: 13I have set My rainbow in the clouds, and it will be a sign of the covenant between Me and the earth.

14Whenever I form clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, 15I will remember My covenant between Me and you and every living creature of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. 16And whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of every kind that is on the earth.”

17So God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant that I have established between Me and every creature on the earth.”

And God hates all people having equal rights?

Far more likely story is that it simply a way of explaining something which was not understood.

Just about every religion most of which predate Christianity have rainbows featured in their mythologies. Why do you believe Christianity has some right to claim it as a symbol when they are simply perverting a symbol they’ve co-opted from earlier religions?

Obviously (if one can comprehend timelines of history), the token (covenant) was established / set in the skies approx 3000+/- years prior to Christianity/the birth of Christ (context being covenants = old and new).

Genesis 9:12And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between Me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: 13I have set My rainbow in the clouds, and it will be a sign of the covenant between Me and the earth.

Wait -- In what legal way are Christians doing as you describe, by referencing/discussing/adhering to what is written and believed among the Hebrews from ages ago ??

Do you see what is recorded, in context ?? "it will be a sign of the covenant between Me and the earth" / "between Me and you and every living creature of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life"

Other religions that predate Christianity used rainbows as a symbol of various things. Christianity stole and perverted those religion’s symbols
