I’m not sure whether to believe Basilio or not. Not sure Tom would come out and refute a harmless report unless it was blatantly not true. Tom is adamantly saying Basilio is wrong.

I wondered why Basilio often cracks on Satkowiak. I see it now. Guy’s kind of a d!@k. Or at least far different than he acts when the camera is recording him.

I think BHH has some maturing to do and likely some buy-in, both positionally and on the defensive end that he needs to exhibit to play a serious role for Barnes.

He’s also young. Competing against a guy who’s had 2 years experience in this system and playing college ball, and for all we know has taken a bit of a step up this offseason. I’m not that surprised that he might not be starting right out of the gate.

My guess is it’s a way to keep BHH motivated, which seems very plausible given some of the things said about him. The talent is there and is visible according to many who have watched practices/scrimmages, but he can “check out” or lose focus from time to time, I think they’re just trying to get more out of him.

Definitely not unprecedented with Rick. He did that w Bone among others.

Very good news about Nkamhoua, but I'm still skeptical until I get to see in person against Lenior Rhyne.

Also what illness/injury did Chandler, fulk and Aidoo have? If Chandler has any type of injury then that is extremely worrisome for the start of the season.

Same here. Derrick Walker looked like a pro on the European tour his freshman year. Never materialized.

I just think w Powell his sample size is relatively small so I’ve been a bit cautious in my expectations. Bailey for a while was our best offensive player last year. He was so streaky though, if that keeps up he may relinquish it quickly

I'd venture to guess that Powell has similar defensive deficiencies to those that Bailey has, but Bailey has multiple years of experience in this system, is older and more experienced in general, and Barnes tends to lean on those he knows best, and trusts.

Mocking Basilio and linking a snarky clip about challenging him to a spelling contest. Suggesting that Basilio is playing checkers instead of chess. Not the kind of shots that normally come from even keeled PR “professionals”. He’s kind of stooping to TB’s level. IMO he looks like a D and I understand why Basilio has had it out for him for several years.

When Bailey is hot he can carry the offense. Just needs to be more consistent and realize when his shots aren’t falling. He has talent

IIRC composite for Pons was a bit screwed up. Based on his ratings across the sites it should have been higher
