Tebow fumbles first snap / Says he has strep throat...

Sensitive? You get your ladyparts so twisted up when somebody takes a shot at anything Florida-related that you waste hours of your life arguing about it on some other team's message board, and you call somebody else sensitive?

FYI, yes.
Ladyparts was a nice mature touch.

With the spotlight comes a few flies...I get that.

Tebow's critics don't get a rise out of me. Hell, I was a critic of his play most of the '09 season. He clearly regressed.

He didn't regress, the talent that was surrounding him dropped off some.

Nice touch with the lady parts.

The QB hype this year will be huge, it was a QB league this year so they will get much of the spotlight and rightfully so.

Florida's championship team was hailed as Tebow's, yet he wasn't even the best player on those teams. This is evident in the drop off in production after Harvin left.

What many non UF fans have been telling you all along has been proven to some extent, Tebow was somewhat of a media creation who had heart but lacked many important skills you see in great qb's. To his credit he overcame that with determination and having arguably the best supporting cast in football.

In the end non UF fans in general are sick of the hype. Him failing would simply validate what I thought all along, he was a good QB with a great supporting cast, not the world beater he was hyped to be.

I would argue that the ugliness derives from non UF fans that were sick and tired of repeatedly being beaten by Tebow and his team even though he did not possess stereotypical NFL QB skills.

Well said.

Yeah, seems he was having trouble taking the snap from under center, had too slow of a release, and wasn't accurate enough. He wants desperately to stay at QB. Deffinately not off to a good start.

Without the two time best D in the country, Tebows accomplishments look more like Alex Smith's too.

Give Meyer his due: he talks spread and keeps recruiting badass defenders.

I'm sure that was one component, but it also had much to do with the saturation and credit given to one player when his supporting cast was probably much more of a factor than he was. The fact that Tebow overshadowed Harvin was bogus. After Harvin, Tebow looked much more ordinary and even struggled at times.

He's Jacob Hester with a good enough arm to make some throws. That's it. Meyer's system made him what he was.

Which is too bad, because Tebow's the one going to the NFL and Meyer's the one sticking around in the SEC.

Not only troll extraordinaire, but an over the top hypocrite to boot. Awesome.

Just to review for those keeping score at home. I'm an oversensitive, condescending, gloating hypocrite with "ladyparts".

Anyone else needing a dose of anonymous self-worth is welcome to chime in ?

sometimes you have to ask yourself if you're cut out to post on a rival board...

Regardless of all mitigating factors, the hate is rooted in envy and the desire to bring down those on top.

Beating Bama in '08 without Harvin is what sent the media hype to a new level imo. Up until that point Tebow had not led UF on a 4th quarter comeback.

I know the train is off the track as far as this thread goes, but the fact remains that you guys keep bringing up Tebow, not the UF fans who post here. It's no secret his game is not tailored for the NFL, so him struggling in Mobile shouldn't come as a surprise, let alone some cause to celebrate.

Your problem is you aren't distinguishing "hate" from the fact that he's a major project at best as far as NFL Qb's go.

And sometimes you have to realize posting on a message board is casual entertainment and doesn't define anything about a person. And sometimes you have to take a good look at yourself if you think being "cut out" to post on a rival board matters.
