Tennessee Football boldly supporting BLM

Obviously no one has nor have the players bothered to research anything on their own. The cool thing today to do is march with BLM signs and that’s what they’re doing.
Trey has articulated generalities and slogans. I do not think he has articulated specifics very well. That is what is leaving people confused and drawing their own conclusions. People refusing to examine or acknowledge depth of issues, thoughts, or actions is what creates more divide.

It's really difficult to have real discussion about racial issues especially the specifics because it isn't about fact it's about emotion. Eric Holder was way off the mark in his comment that we are a nation of cowards when discussing race - it's not cowardly at all, it's simply a matter that movements like BLM have made it impossible. If BLM is all truth and light without the need for proof or fact then a dissenter is wrong by definition, and you can't have a real discussion of issues when one side is "right" by default - just can't happen because the other side has no issues to argue or points to make.

especially when white folks are told "silence is violence" (for example) one minute and when they do want to have some sort of dialog all of an sudden it's "mute white people" (for example). i mean how in the world can anyone can have an rational conversation w/ that mentality?

I deal with GC's alot.

They almost always fall into two categories. Those who have their subs certs already on file and those who scramble come audit time. The former are always successful and the latter either struggle forever or go out of business.

From my interactions with you I think you will be a very successful GC before it's all said and done.

Best of luck to you!
Thanks
I’ve been doing this a long time and have found place. I have “the Red Woman” to keep me organized. otherwise I’d likely be like the scramblers.

Indeed.

But I would like one of the UT athlete leaders to articulate what are the issues? What is the systemic racism on that campus?

Systemic racism is about as true on campus as systemic racism in society.

What laws are there that only applies to blacks but not whats. For systemic racism to be accurate, there needs to be laws or regulations that would penalize blacks.

Its not about that, it's solely about change a culture from freedom to a socialist or marxist society. They don't want dialogue, they only want a powerful gov.

I’m so tired of these groups acting like me and others like me are racist.

In a country with 330,000,000 people... only 10 unarmed black people were killed by police in 2019. At least 5 of those attacked police first. 1 other was an accident.

Injustice happens, but this is NOT a racist country. So much BS.

Facts and stats are boring, its all about stories and emotions that people want to hear.

When are they going to Chicago & put an end to all the violence & the killing there. Let's do that first.
Black Lives Matter ......... but not in the Chicago killings of the other black lives and to other parts of the USA.

Want to stand in unity for BLM ....... clean up places like Chicago & NYC Portland LA first before you come preaching that BS.

That would take the marxist narrative away.

Is there an email address(es) where one can best voice their opposition to UT’s support for blm?

Here are some facts.
2019 - 48 Police Officers killed, 45 of them white
2019- 19 unarmed whites killed by police
2019- 9 unarmed blacks killed by police
May 31st 2020- 18 blacks killed by blacks in Chicago.

Id say the black community should be more worried about blacks instead of the police or whites, but why let facts get in the way of a good pity party.

You act as if there can't be more than one item of focus by the black community at any given time. There are plenty of groups within the black community that focus on improving inner cities and lessening black on black violence, gang presence, etc.
