Tennessee Football boldly supporting BLM

Well, now I feel like I fully belong on the PF. Thanks K-town.

You fit right in.

Not a good thing.

That’s all he’s got: we are all racists.
Glad to see you man up and admit it.

Obviously you havent been keep up with crime statistics this year. Lets take Milwaukee for example. TO DATE there have been 61 murders. In 2019 there were 30. How about Nashville. Its went from 4 total last year to 14 TO DATE. I suggest you quit trying to be cute on the interwebz, its not working for you.
2019 homicide numbers drop in Nashville
"
The NewsChannel 5 count shows there were at least 76 cases of criminal homicide in 2019.
That would mark a drop from the year before -- Metro Police reported 88 deaths in 2018 and 107 deaths in 2017."

So dropping each year.

Stop getting news from Facebook pal.

The boogeyman isn't real.

You literally have no idea what you are talking about.

Unlikely, yes, but generally homicide and horrific crimes in this country occur in about five cities.

This may be the dumbest PF post ever and that is saying a lot.

What are the 5 cities? Name them so we can pull stats.

The key is to remain peaceful..... period.
I was thinking about this today..... I honestly don’t recall ever doing anything to harm a black person in any way .....physically, financially, personally, etc..... I’ve always gotten along well with black coworkers.... some of which I truly enjoyed working with.... I went to TSU where I was the minority and never had any issues..... other than getting “big timed” by a few guys early on.
The elementary, middle and high schools I went to never had any racial issues either. We all grew up together, played little league together and my senior year our HC Queen was black..... this is in spite of the black enrollment being less than 10%.
I’m 52 so I was in school from 72-85.... my daughters are all athletes and have had numerous black teammates and friends.... school teams.... AAU teams.... club teams and etc. as a result of this, I’ve become friends with a lot of their parents and etc.. I can honestly say, that I’ve personally never seen any of the white people I know treat any of these black folks any differently. With all of this being the case for me, it’s difficult for me to understand where all of this “systemic racism” and etc. is coming from.

Very similar to me growing up 30 miles south of ATL and HS in the early 80's. Grew up in a mixed church as well. My comments would be almost identical to yours. However, I am very close with a black preacher up in ATL that I've known most of my life. His word is gold to anyone who knows him. Early 60's probably. He has several stories he can tell of racism toward him personally. Even to the point that his white friends he was riding bikes with were at a gas station and he was told he had to move his bike. the rest put all their merchandise up on the counter and walked out with him. That's just one of several he has told me about over the years. He is not a person to share these things outside of personal conversation. At one point recently, he told me he has had enough experiences that even as a preacher, the one thing that kept him in his faith and without hatred was how he was treated by my parents/family, and those he was friends with through the church camp we all attended. And I am speaking of one of the finest individuals in existence regardless of color. So, it is out there whether you see it or experience it. I have experienced it as a white man in places maybe I shouldn't have wandered by myself. The country is bigger than our everyday lives allow us to see. Is it what is portrayed in the media for political purposes. I think not. But, it exists. We just need to love our neighbors and enemies as we love ourselves.

Will the UTAD march for this black life?

Killed by this guy

Not cops which is what BLM is about.

But I guess you don't read much.

white guy going to prison forever, dead cops, surprised you are on here with the party you must be throwing
I have never once advocated killing cops. All of the cops killed since the protests started have been murdered by right wing and or white guys.

I'm not part of the group killing cops.

If he was black it would be the same, should go to jail.

What’s worse, being wary of Marxist organizations or commenting out of complete frigging ignorance and admitting it?
I'm weary of any fringe organizations, but I'm not outraged over any of them. Of course I'm sure you realize there are as many right wing fringe elements as there are left wing helping to tear apart this country

the Republican party used to be a "fringe" organization. Just because an organization is new and isn't toeing the establishment line doesn't mean they are wrong.

It wasn't a fringe in the 60s, 70s, and 80s, and even early 90s, when its platform was completely different that it is today.

And yes, it's platform today represents totally different values

When it started it was a fringe organization, one day one of these fringe organizations may replace it like the Republicans replaced the Whigs.

Seems like Ted Cruz is using this man's death to sarcastically make a point... bad look, IMO. Can't we just have an opinion and take a stand without being disrespectful?
Why?

In the past BLM has marched and chanted “Pigs in a blanket, fry ‘em like bacon”

They’re waging a war on police all across this country.

Can you imagine what this country would be like with no police?

That’s a good subject of discussion. The question is who has a seat at the table. Does the Klan have a voice in the party and policy making? No, They are anathema.

Does BLM? Yes.

Do right wing extremist have an ally like George Soros funneling money to them?

So, saying both sides have extremist is very misleading.

Nope. I should be allowed to vote for my direct representative regardless of how long they have served.

We also need to repeal the 17th amendment.

So you want to do away with senators and add representatives or do away with them altogether?

I’m just spit balling but I’d guess... Baltimore, Gary Ind., Memphis, south side of Chicago and Detroit. Commonality is all run by Democrats and majority black. Facts can be such racist things
