I disagree. Tamari was playing sporadic minutes because of the blood clot in her lung, Rickea was suspended for games we could have won, and Jordon H missed a few because of injury. They were more than capable of handling that schedule but circumstances dictated something else. Had we played LSU schedule you would all be complaining about the cupcakes.

Powell has always said 2 yrs, if it changed I haven't heard that. Man if she leaves that really makes next yr interesting at PG.

But I can't get to 7 without her - Rickea, JH, Key, Franklin, Walker, and Jessie R. Who am I forgetting?

Also, it is very possible to go thru the ceremony and then return. Fulky did it multiple times LOL.

I really think if medically cleared Key returns, to us, not NC. She's not WNBA ready IMO and I can't imagine she wants her career to end the way this year ended.

Damn, that's unexpected, and disappointing. I think she could be alot better than she was this year.

We MUST have a big time PG out of the portal. Miles is not going to magically transform over the summer. Another season of a lovable,hard working, but too small, offensively challenged, not great decision making PG.

Next year was already grim, getting grimmer.

I would imagine she wants to end her career with something she's never had - a deep run in March. To that point I ask again, why would she return here?

So here we sit with 7 seniors leaving, and I could definitely see one or two more who are getting sparse playing time deciding to move on, with ZERO commitments in the 23 class...

Ostensibly bc of her loyalty to KJH and the program.

If TK did transfer to NC, along with the surprise of Powell bailing, KJH is in major, major trouble. The ONE thing she had, the vaunted culture, will be shot to hell.

While we're layering on bad, embarrasing news, maybe Rickea grad transfers to Texas so Vic can polish her up for the W.

As far as any of the remaining survivors on the island transferring over playing time, say what? Playing time aplenty for all next year.

I wouldn't say it is due to Powell potentially leaving that makes KJH in major trouble. It just hasn't worked out as expected for Powell here. Any which way you look at it, next year is looking mighty grim unless there are major portal wins. But even that hinges a lot on how the rest of the season pans out.

It hasn't worked out, and Powell doesn't want to stay and try to make it work out when she would have the position all to herself next year. Plus came here with the stated intention of playing 2 yrs. I think that throws another log on the fire that KJH definitely doesn't need.

You're right, our immediate future is completely dependent on the portal and Powell not working out hurts that effort IMO.

Any way it goes, Kellie certainly has her work cut out for her if she wants to save her job. Whew!

Jackson to WNBA. Horston to WNBA. Suarez doesn't come back, Walker and Franklin out of eligibility. Key retired from basketball takes a position on Kellie's staff. Rennie back to Australia. Powell Grad Transfer to another school; Wynn and Miles transfer out.

Returnees Striplin, Hollingshead, Puckett, Darby, and Pissott with walk on Edie returning. Scholarships available 10.

It would've worked out better if the schedule hadn't been so ambitious. LSU shows you how to do it one loss against the only top ten team they have played and yet they are number five and three in the NET. Yes I think we could beat them on our home court.
