Tennessee Lady Vol News

I'm sure someone has to be officially named interim, but no doubt it will be a collaborative effort, with CKC fully participating via zoom. Don't think much will be different.

I've been thinking that, too. If she has to miss a game(s), I cannot imagine her being able to resist at least making a phone call at halftime -- unless she is literally in labor. Hell, she might be jonesing even THEN! 😂

Cooper at #3, Spencer at #7, Whitehorn Honorable Mention.

I'm hoping for a January 11th Arrival—two days after LSU and the Day before Arkansas—a team that has been getting beat up by everybody. This would be the best scenario. Come to think of it, if she looks at one of Kim Mulkey's outfits for long enough, that should be enough to induce labor and scare that baby out.
I want her to be at as many games as possible…but please let’s let her and even encourage her to get that quality time with her little one. You don’t get that time back and there are certainly bigger things than basketball🧡. I can’t wait to see him/her grow up on Rocky Top!

I have no children myself, but nearly every mother I have ever known has shared with me that she wished she hadn't had to go back to work so soon, and that the early time she'd had with her newborns had flown by and there's always regret there hadn't been more of it.

So, yes, I'm on Team Encourage Kim to Stay Home Longer.

I doubt she will because she may feel like she owes it to her team and employer to get back asap. But dang. It's really JUST basketball games. Her team will be okay! Her employer will be okay! Lady Vols fans will be okay! We should all want her to put being a natural human mother first for a while because both her and her baby need and deserve that. 🥹

Might be able to get approval to create a full nursery set up at Pratt. Rocker and all. Plenty of VOLUNTEERS to assist her on site I bet.

If she is on site she is not spending all of her time with her infant, and that intense early time without outside distractions is what she'll be wise to get as much of as possible.

There'll be plenty of time for volunteers to help out with things, but those initial weeks of undivided attention between mother and infant are, from all I've read and heard, VITALLY important.

But she could use nap times to get involved. Coach with the kid in one of those papoose things. Have a medical pop up tent for breast feeding if applicable.

Oh, I'm aware of all the things a new mom in a supportive working environment can do to be on premises and still have time with baby. I feel like Tennessee will be ad supportive, or maybe even moreso, as any workplace in the country.

But being at home with only her baby and her family, with no outside noises and, especially, with no unnecessary exposures to germs and viruses from people outside the home, would definitely be best.

But like I said, I suspect she'll be rearin' to go pretty quickly, and it's hers and Justin's decision to make. She'll have lots of support either way, I'm sure. 🧡🤱🏼

How many days did Pat miss?

Sometimes our style of play feels inefficient but when you start looking around it gets better and better all the time.

Just looking at stats and Spearman and Spencer are both having career seasons so far.

Sam is playing 10 fewer minutes per game than at Arkansas, averaging career bests in Fg% 3pt FG% (48% vs 26% last season is crazy). And 5.5 assists compared to 3.5 last season.

Zee has doubled her production compared to Miami playing only 1 more minute per game.

Ruby is another player having a career best season across the board in fewer minutes.

Jewel is the player I think is really going to come alive as the season progresses and her leg gets better. She’s generally a better shooter than she has been and that started to show up again this last week. If she hits around 40% from three in SEC play is going to be lights out for most teams.

Excellent development by the staff. I am so excited to see what the 2025 class does with their time on rocky top. They’re coming in more skilled and are going to get even better.

I’m looking forward to the 2025 class they are outstanding and as I’ve stated before 247Sports got it right this is the #1 HS recruiting class.
Are they more skilled though?
Currently, there’s three McDonald AAs on Rocky Top in Hollingshead, Whitehorn, and Cooper.
My prediction for the 2025 class is that both Prawl and Mia Pauldo are on the McDonald AA short list with Jaida Civil being in consideration.
Civil should be in but we’ll have to wait and see.
Current highest rated players on the roster Ruby Whitehorn (5⭐️ #15), Talaysia Cooper (5⭐️ #18), Lazaria Spearman (4⭐️ #30), Jillian Hollingshead (4⭐️ #37), and Kaniya Boyd (4⭐️ #34).
Tennessee right now is way more talented than a few casual fans give them credit for.
Truth is, the portal class that Coach Caldwell, Coach Lazo, and Coach Tubner signed in 1 month gave the LVs the foundation to be a contender from Day 1.
Alyssa Latham, Jewel Spear, and Samara Spencer are players that were underrated and have far exceeded the inconsistent rankings of recruiting services.
The best thing for this elite recruiting class is that they can play alongside experience elite talent from the start of their collegiate careers.
All five highly ranked 2025 commits will fit the system.

Literally never reading all your post you gasbag. Save your time and skip over me lol. You’re just a contrarian for the sake of it.
