It means that those folks who, at the low point of the last head coach's tenure, proclaimed the Tennessee Lady Vols as "irrelevant" were wrong. Back then the internet was swarming with people who were absolutely certain -- and many of them giddy about it -- that whatever it is that Tennessee had all those years was 100% gone, and that noone would give a rat's behind about the Lady Vols ever again.

Well, lookie here! Apparently, those people were wrong. Even in the worst of times the Lady Vols still were regulars in conversations. I always chuckled about how that must be chapping some rears that Tennessee was STILL a popular topic.

Funny, because ratings were very important when Tennessee was routinely snagging top-rated recruiting classes and top 10 players...and I guarantee you that they'll be important again if Justine gets settled as a consensus top 10 player before she enrolls.

Keep Darby in the lineup for shooting purposes and it won’t be a hard transition once Rae gets back to start. The other players won’t see a big chemistry effect with Darby heading to the bench then.

Yep, also noticed recently that I believe Kellie is actually still running a lot of the same action we will run for Rae, just with Darby or Puckett as a place holder.

This way the offense is used to making those plays and running that action. It will look at lot prettier and be much more effective when Rae is back. A lot of the forced shots our guards are having to take will be open looks for Rae. Darby just doesn’t understand how to get herself open enough to get her shot off.

Rae is a catch and shoot, quick trigger player who can also take you off the bounce. She changes so much for our offense.

Yse, Darby's growth is apparent,,,but just like the LV coach and team has expectations from the fans and supporters,,,the players are as well, held to a higher initial and growth standard.

the ones on the floor are rewarded by Coach K bc they have shown growth.
the ones sitting on the bench are there bc they are not showing growth

Are you kidding? According to the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame just for starters. Both Charles (Night Train) and Gordon are in it. Just because you don't remember them doesn't mean they weren't superstars. They were arguably the LVs first superstars and no coincidence they played on 2 LV natty teams.

According to who? How about looking up in the rafters, where Gordon and Charles' jerseys hang along with Chamique, Tamika, and Candace.

For a long time Pat was known as the coach who couldn't win the big one, then she hired Mickie DeMoss specifically to help her recruit those superstar players like Gordon and Charles to help her finally break through. Guess what? Mickie started bringing them in, and Pat started winning championships...

Were actually better than them in almost everything except women's basketball which in the present they are better, but were far better overall history. Last season we beat them in almost every sport and were 1 and 1 in women's basketball so being better than them is easy overall maybe we'll get back soon in women's basketball as well.

Countering someone’s negativity with positivity doesn’t work because it’s argumentative. People don’t like to be emotionally contradicted and if you try to convince them that they shouldn’t feel something, they’ll only feel it more stubbornly.

Confronting someone’s negativity with your own negativity — doesn’t work because it’s additive. Your negative reaction to their negative reaction simply adds fuel to the fire. Negativity breeds negativity.

However, confronting a Nega is both satisfying and emotionally balancing. They are likely idiots anyway and this forum gives them a platform which is something they don't have in real life. Providing your own point of view should be done. Letting them be the sole voice on a subject is both wrong and unfair to those that believe the same as you.

Nasty, mean-spirited, and uncalled for. It's one thing to state an opinion that player A should be starting over player B, it's quite another to say that a player is starting and/or playing significant minutes because she's blackmailing the coach. And even if that was said in jest, there's the implication that the coach doesn't know as much about coaching a basketball team as you do. Which is laughable.
