Tennessee Lady Vol News

In case there was any question where the 'salary' money was coming from, here it is. When it says "Tennessee" not sure if that's just football or all programs. Attending games is becoming increasingly for the well-to-do. Rest of us have TV.

What gets me is they ask a fortune for a ticket and then give you Kent State and 77-0. But no doubt this won't hurt attendance, at least for a while.

I would say 100% all programs. Why wouldn't it be ?

Some more preseason stuff from Coach Caldwell here. Recruiting pitches, coaching with her Dad at Glenville State, seeing Pat Summitt in high school and some more...

Welcome! Bringin’ the heat 🔥 with yer first post! You’re going to fit in well around here. 😉🤙🏼

Just a little over a month away from basketball being back. I'm ready.

One thing I have noticed is it seems like everyone on this team is getting love and some spotlight. Top to bottom. Not just the projected “stars” like years past. Really nice to see.

Whoever is doing the promo is doing a fantastic job, the editing and composition of the photos and videos has been really dope. That will help with recruiting no doubt. In the NIL era everyone loves a great shareable photo.

Here's a great story by 2MC about one of my favs! Enjoy.

At least it was on the Men's staff, imagine the feedback on here if he was hired to the Women's staff. Katie bar the door.

I would have lost my mind, that’s for sure. I think this is an appropriate position for him, he has the experience and resume to qualify.

Is there an element of nepotism? Without a doubt, but it’s nothing like the previous situation.

It seems that now-a-days there are more coaches with spouses in the same profession. It could really be a tough decision to move to a new school if the spouse, whether male or female, has an active coaching job. Giving up what you have to follow your spouse can be a very tricky thing if you are really dedicated to your current job, so I have to give all these spouses a lot of credit to give that up for the benefit of your wife or husband. I really don't know too much about Kims husband, but I hope it works out for him since I believe she will be here for a long time. Good luck to both.

Yeah, probably saved us some serious embarrassment living down the responses from THOSE GUYS that think they have the magic decoder ring to use instead of all the facts. I’m going with DW on these calls.

Going with DW's calls have all been the right call so far but he has pushed the envelope with his 10% talent fee added to FB season tickets. If that works out he could be a bit of an AD financial genius.

CKC's husband joins the staff of Coach Barnes as the director of player development.
If I was going to aks for a category-type of coach that would accompany a new head coach to the program(s) it would be just that,,,one who develops players skills

That was one of the most visible detriments to both Holly and Kellie's staffs

If if if, this season ends on a high note, AND several of our conference competitors tank and we grab a couple more players of note, not enough people will blink to be noticed. Will lose a few loud ones, but fan quality goes up too.
