For the record, I was staying at the Westin (Memphis team hotel) and after the game got canceled, much more than 4-5 Memphis players were walking around the lobby, taking pictures with fans and yucking it up with everyone in blue. Make no mistake - they had enough to play.

lol Bama plays zero defense and it made Pennies AAU team look better than what they really are. AAU Tigers lost 4 straight to Ga and other teams that was bad. The AAU Tigers just did not wake up and decided to turn it on

Should’ve taken a video and sent it to every major news outlet. Penny should lose his job if he’s going to allow players to freely walk around whenever they are suppose to be quarantined due to “contact tracing”.

Vaccinated players should not be going into quarantine or “protocols”. That was the whole point in being vaccinated. What’s criminal is the protocols, the selective application of them and the overall nonsense in all of this. NCSU was screwed out of an opportunity to compete for a CWS title because they had unvaccinated players exposed, who tested NEGATIVE the day of the game yet were still put in quarantine. The NCAA stood by their decision to hand Vandy the appearance in the finals and said this wouldn’t have happened had all the players been vaccinated. Six months later we’re quarantining vaccinated players and cancelling games. In one case they didn’t trust the negative test results and now they don’t trust the efficacy of the vaccine. If neither one are good enough to keep guys on the court/field what’s the point of either?

FF...just so we don't get everyone confused after 17 pages trying to unconfused them. At least two UM players tested positive on Saturday morning. According to NCAA guidance a NCAA team with less than fifty players should consider additional testing and restricted activity if three or more players test positive. Vaccinated players are only tested if they are sytomatic or have come in contact with a COVID-19 positive person. Unvaccinated players are tested three days before competition and on the day of competition.

Athens some great points. Unfortunately, this virus is a high speed train already out of the station and we are struggling to catch up. Moderns, Phizer and J& J vaccinations were tested against the virus we knew at the time of trials. The Delta variant and now Omicron variant have been a challenge for the efficacy of the vaccines. Omicron has as many as 50 mutations of the virus. Each mutation may have the capability to beat the vaccines. This is very complcated.

Yet the doctors who discovered it and are treating it in South Africa have said it’s mild as hell and have scratched their heads at why the western world is freaking out. The problem is they’re doctors who are trained in medicine and not politics. If they were more into the latter they might understand better.

same to you! I just hope this doesn't becoming a recurring issue this season (that goes for the teams we play as well) as Omicron seems very virulent.
