You could have played, yesterday and you know it. may have been down some players but could have played. Y’all CHOSE not to. Guess we will know the truth on Tuesday if y’all can field a team to play some terrible OOC (good luck on that btw). Anyways, I was just letting you know your record has been 1-4 over the past 5 games. Seems your Chest was getting a bit puffy after beating 1 team at home. Good luck the rest of the way, hope you like the attention you’ll get from being a bubble team all year.

It's not a conference game for either program so there is no need to try and force the contest to happen. If Memphis cancels the Alabama State game is it still all just a ploy?

as you mention, Memphis needs this game more than UT this season...so we wouldn't just walk away from a top-25 team at a neutral site.

My post had nothing to do with partying the night before. They could have been breaking team rules/covid protocols 5 to 7 days prior to yesterday. The question is why did they test positive on Saturday morning?

A coach making a decision not to play is not bt definition a conspiracy.

The question is: Was it necessary to disqualify the vaxed, non-positive Mmephis players? Contact tracing is a tool for decision making, but the protocols are different for vaxed vs unvaxed exposed players. Did Memphis consult with UT to see if UT was willing to play with negative testing vaxed players on the Memphis side?

It’s not a conspiracy bro. You had two dudes down and not ideal situation to play your rival so you walked. Other teams would have played. Does your team have 90% vaccination rate or not? Cause if so there would not be an issue of contact tracing. The truth will come out at some point … well it’s Tiger High… so probably not

Good enough for me. I guess it remains to be seen how many players are in protocol and whether they were going to the Aaron Rodgers Vaccine Clinic or something. But it’s just another day in bizarro Covid world we all live in now. Hope you all get it sorted before Tulane.

according to our assoc ad Memphis has a schedule gap from 2/13 - 2/19 and we're reaching out to teams in an attempt to schedule a non-conf game.

I scrolled through Twitter for less than 5 minutes and I just saw close to a dozen CBB games over the next two days cancelled. I am afraid with the antiquated 2020 rules being applied in 2021, we’re dangerously close to the whole season being put on pause.

The NBA is as well. I could see a pause until a couple weeks after the holidays

Can we just get the governor to change the boundary lines of Memphis so they arent even part of the state of Tennessee anymore? Give them to Mississippi.

Mutually exclusive ideas. They could have been exposed prior to the trip and still have been out partying, further exposing themselves as well as other players who didn't test positive. Not to mention the people that were exposed to the two positive players.
