How does entering the portal affect that? He’s not going to be more experienced not even working out 4 weeks early.

Don’t blame him, I hope he succeeds. I don’t understand why he never saw the field this year, he can’t be as bad as Milton IMO

It's funny how fans pick and choose if it's ok for a player to transfer. Some we wish them the best others we wish the worst.

Assuming it was “his” decision to leave I would agree. Maurers case is different and I don’t expect anyone to believe me of all people on here but I’ve never lied and would hope that would stand for something. You have my word that it was NOT talent related NOR his decision to leave Tennessee. His departure was “incident” related and quite honestly understandable given what we’ve learned since.

After Pruitt was fired I figured this was coming after the comment his dad made. His dad didn’t like it when Pruitt was fired and the next coach didn’t have much of chance to retain him. Further more he don’t fit the system that Hueple has installed thus making his a 3rd stringer. He will get another opportunity at another big school. Good luck kid and on whatever else you do going forward.

Good lord, you're back with this again. Dead horse, sufficiently beaten. It's okay for people to have a thread where they talk about a quarterback other than Brian.

About the actual subject of this thread, it's a good move for Harrison to enter the portal but I wish he had done it at the end of the season. It would have shown more respect for the program and his brothers on the team.

Bottom line, with our lack of depth, we can no longer afford to have anyone on the roster who can't execute this specific offense. Clearly this is not a fit for Harrison, so he needs to go find somewhere that is. Sometimes we get on folks for wanting to transfer when they just don't win a spot, but in Harrison's case he could not have foreseen that the offense he came here to run would change so dramatically into something that doesn't fit his skill set.

I wish him the best wherever he goes. And yes I expect we will see him excelling if he chooses the right place and time. It's all about fit.

Now coach has to go to the junior college market and the transfer portal to get at least two more bodies in here with experience running this type of system. That doesn't even count the true freshman coming in.

If he can't run our offense, he can't run Ole Miss' offense. And he clearly is not the stereotypical Dan Mullen quarterback.

South Carolina's desperate for quarterback bodies, and he would most likely fit their system pretty well IMO.
