Piggly Wiggly Stadium. I mean, Kroger works pretty well for KY.We had a thread about renaming Neyland Stadium?
What were the suggested new names? Lol...
If he can’t win the job here, how is he going to win a job over a bunch of real 5 star talent at Georgia?
I wonder if you have any remote idea how tired and mindless your argument is? It can be eviscerated simply by two words: Joe Milton. So you actually think during practice and everything he has shown he is better and better for this team than Hooker?
You “know” he didn’t get a “fair” shake…….and he should be out there instead of Hooker? You “know” Bailey must have proved he was the #1 guy but for some odd reason the coach……..the guy with actual experience evaluating these types of things……says “nah he’s the 3’rd stringer.”
So you really believe that Heupel knows Bailey is better……..but he don’t like his job so much so he going to make him 3rd string instead?
Cause if you “don’t” believe that…….and you do believe that Bailey practiced just like everyone else but he didn’t “prove” himself better or others “proved themselves better……….then Bailey definitely got a “fair shake.” He had the same opportunity as the other guys……….and wound up #3.
I wish the guy all the best. I hope he has a great career; however he could be the starter right now if he was “good enough” right now…….and he ain’t………that’s not a knock on him either……..he simply isn’t or Heupel would play him.
You say that as if it makes you feel better.
Maybe he will. I doubt UGA will take him but maybe they will. Either way... he would not have put up big numbers vs UGA had he stayed at UT. UGA has no trouble signing highly rated QB's and that's all he truly is at this point. The chances of him being recruited over at UGA are about as good as him becoming a successful starter there.
Not the point. The point is that Georgia already has four 5 star QBs either on the roster or committed for next year. How is he going to beat out all that talent if he can’t beat out a far less deep qb room at UT?To me the type offensive Ga plays better suits his ability. They seem to want/use QBs much like Bama has in the past, game managers, not the gunslinger, jackrabbit type Coach H seems to need in his system.
Could see Clemson going after him with obvious issues with 5 star bust DJ. Wouldn’t put it past Ole Miss and Kiffin to grab him either
It isn't impossible. He was 3rd behind Maurer after spring. He did some things and apparently passed Maurer in the fall but was still 3rd behind Milton and Bailey.
It could be system... or maybe he just isn't as good as people thought. I often wondered how much of his success was due to having a monster receiver who would catch anything thrown in his direction regardless of what puny HS kid(s) tried to cover him.

When one puts up the stats he did in the highest class in Georgia, he has enough talent to play in College. With any common sense, one can not even suggest he doesn't have talent. I will agree it helps when you have someone who can catch the ball, but most teams playing his his league have receivers who can catch the ball. Our coaches do not believe he can play in their system so he will not play in their system. Some of yall are embarrassing with this crush you have on HB. I had high hopes for him but when TWO staffs wont play him...that should tell you something.
And his ridiculous HS stats are indicative of the amount of talent he had around him. Watch the championship game, his last game in hs. His stats were impressive due to his TE that was a true 5 star prospect
To be accurate though, he was a true freshman last year and because of COVID had limited offseason development. Last years staff wouldnt play him over their boy JG because they were the clown brigade. When he played he showed more than JG. Hard to judge him this year based on mop up duty vs Tenn Tech, him not playing this year is more indicative of they style of qb the staff wants more than his skill set as a passer. I have no doubt he will do well somewhere else (it is the UT way) and I hope he doesn’t transfer within the conference
Not offer a high 4* from right down the road, who fits your system?I don’t think Pruitt would’ve ever offered Bailey in the first place if he didn’t have Arik Gilbert and BJ Ojulari as high school teammates. They were trying for the package deal and whiffed. The guy they really wanted to get that year was Haynes King.
I’m not sure why he is doing this now and not 5-6 weeks from now once the season is over. But, good luck to him. Just poor timing for HB with the coaching change and offensive philosophy overhaul, I’m sure he’ll be a great player for another team the next 4 years.
