Maybe it was the then-pitching coach then or maybe Karen developed a new philosophy but I've definitely noticed a difference in the past few years.

Marty was pitching coach in name only. His role is much like what Megan is now, be the calming factor…be in the bullpen during games to work things out. Karen has alluded to recognizing she too caught up in years past as coming across too hard. Part of that is her background (lawyer/micromanager) and part of that I’m sure is pressure to stay relevant in the game. Karen always lets you know where you stand but is embracing now it seems a more enjoy the moments big and small with the girls. Which she I don’t think did in the past.

I miss Marty, he was a class act. It takes a man to return after being removed from the coaching staff to show up in the postseason wearing orange and cheering on the team. Marty is one of the good ones!!!!!

Marty’s is good guy. You saw him everywhere recruiting….genuine good guy.

The program slipped after 2015 and even before because Marty was having to do the bulk of recruiting (not his fault). We have to keep moving forward with recruiting and coaching can not stand pat. If that means some hard decisions then that is the way it has to be. Stand still and you will get lost in the dust.

Karen has certainly taken quite a bit of criticism for how she handled the Oklahoma game. Hopefully she learned her lesson and never does something like that again. I don’t care what anyone else thinks. It was a terrible decision that most likely cost the team. Winning one game vs having to win three. It’s HUGE. That decision put the team in a deep hole they weren’t able to dig themselves out of. When you are playing in the biggest game of your season on the biggest stage for softball against the games #1 team you pitch your ace. It’s that simple.

I'm pulling for the giant meteor to hit Earth before we have to crown either of these teams the champ this year. At least last year I could pull for TX. But don't have an option this year. I have a beef with Lonni that is personal. But I still despise the way the OK fans act in OKC. So the only winner here would be...giant meteor.

I understand Ashley is Ashley and she probably should’ve gotten the call, but FSU went with Leonard who is all drop ball and she did great through three innings. Reid is now in, all up in the zone, and she is getting hit hard. I feel like the decision was smart on paper, just really went south.
