Can't stand Kiffin and I hate looking like I am defending him but why in the heck is Titans suing him. If their RB coach violated the terms of the contract you sue the coach, not the person hiring the coach. Kiffin nor USC have any obligations to a 3rd party contract. The breach of contract has nothing to do with USC and Kiffin that I can see from the facts given in the articles.
With that said Lame-o still sucks, but I fail to see what a breach of contract has to do with USC.
And on top of that, I don't see how the Titans are going to come up with damages.
Another victim of the virus.
Notify the CDC.
Tennessee Titans sue Lane Kiffin, USC over Kennedy Pola hiring - ESPN"maliciously" luring away assistant
How do you know that?
There could have been a number of reasons and all you need is one. Not liking the guy is nice easy guess to start with.
And the Titans cutting players without a phone call is not true. Keith Bulluck and Kyle Vanden Bosch's contracts expired and they were unrestricted free agents. Eddie George wouldn't take a pay cut so clearly they talked to him about cutting him.
Please stop making things up about the Titans just because you don't like them.
It's not the poster's fault.
Looks like he got the lk virus. Give him a couple of days and he should be fine (after monte's kid opens his trap again).
It seems like the RB coach might have violated his contract, USC has no obligation to a contract.

Hahah, this is called BUSINESS.
Now I can't stand Lame-o but this is up there will spilled coffee lawsuit.
Clearly you don't know the Tennessee Titans. Jeff Fisher has his hands in every aspect of this organization. It's about as close to a one man organization as you'll find in the NFL
If you don't think he was consulted before this suit was filed you don't know anything about the Titans organization. I'm willing to bet large quantities of cash that he was not only aware of the suit, but in favor of such a suit.

So, the Titans are going to say "Our new guy sucks. He's nowhere near as good as Pola. Give us money." Great idea.
Not to defend Kiffin, but dont we live in a world where we dont have to honor contracts anymore? So whats the big deal? Fisher had it coming. He fired the previous RB coach for no reason. Ya know the guy that coached CJ to over 2,000 yards. Now hes getting a taste of his own medicine.
The Titans are known to cut coaches and cut players with out even as much as a phone call. Just Ask Kyle Vandenbosch, Eddie George, and Keith B. And didnt Fisher fire his OC over the phone? Real classy. If you can get fired for no reason then you should be able to quit for any reason.
The salary issue is between Pola and the Oilers. It has nothing to do with Kiffin or USC. Again, they've already said they are promoting from within. Can't wait to see how much they say a walk down the hall put them out.
Yeah...that's why Vince Young is in a Titans' uniform since Fisher lobbied so hard for him.
Um, Ernest Byner was demanding a bigger contract and the contract talks were getting nasty - even leading to arguments between Byner and other staff. That's why Byner was let go. As for "coaching CJ to 2,000 yards," that's a load of bull****. CJ and the OL got that. If Byner was so good, then why didn't he get jack from LenDale White and Chris Henry? kthnx.
Kyle Vanden Bosch and Keith Bulluck? These guys were free agents. Their contracts had - wait for it - expired. As in no longer existed. You expecting Fisher to call them personally to remind them they're free agents and should sign with other teams? KVB signed with the Lions a day or two into FA for big money. Bulluck couldn't pass a physical until recently. I dunno what you were realistically expecting.
George's case is the only one you listed which you could even factor into cutting a player, but the reasoning behind that was age, durability, and price (George would've made $4.25 million his final year in Tennessee). Titans fans love Eddie George, but at the end of his career he couldn't stay healthy and the toll of a great career was showing when he was healthy. They asked him to take a pay cut or else they were going to cut him, and he agreed to get cut so he could sign with another team who would suit his contract terms. It was a process; not a sudden phone call to lay off the guy.
Norm Chow is the only one who said he was fired over the phone, but one instance doesn't set this trend you're trying to misrepresent with made up instances, some of which aren't even legitimate cuts but instead declining to re-sign free agents. But don't by any means let facts get in the way of your posts. Don't take my word for it. Apparently the random guys calling in to sports radio have indisputable credibility. k:
