Surely they won't go that long in making a decision? Barnes will no doubt wait as long as necessary for JJJ and Vescovi, but he has to do what's necessary in the portal, too, right? Portal guys won't wait that long so I'd assume Barnes would get what he needs/wants from the portal then encourage a player or two to move along?

Barnes also doesn’t just yank out players to punish them. A lot of times there is something they are doing wrong that they need to be told to correct. The Barnes Bashers are so sensitive if their criticism is criticized.

Maybe I am wrong but I think a coach also does that at times to protect the player.

This is not Congress, they can’t give out any more money than what they have. The average payout from Spyre to a UT athlete is $30,000 a year. We aren’t going to be cutting million dollar checks to basketball players.

Preach on Cam. ZZ has expressed a desire to come off the bench so let's find a starter...maybe a bit bigger so there's a change of pace with ZZ.

I think ZZ will get the bulk of minutes regardless if he doesn’t start or not. I think they want a PG that can better handle the call. My guess is they aren’t going to let ZZ play 30 plus minutes in the early season. So they need someone to start PG right away and give 20 plus minutes. But I doubt who we get ends up starting because he’s better than ZZ

If Perry comes here, I’d wager he gets more mins, but I’m not going to complain over that. Both would play and play most of the minutes (other than Santi)

The misunderstanding of NIL (disclaimer: I don’t fully understand it either) is mind numbing sometimes. What it is and is not have been laid out fairly well here several times and we still talk about Rick and others on staff offering kids tons of money.
