Nkahmoua was the best post last year, if he can give 30 minutes, JJJ 20 at the 4, that means you’ve got 30 minutes for Aidoo & Plav, replacing the 30 minutes of Fulk & BHH, do I think Aidoo & Plav can match the production of those 2? Absolutely.Doesn’t really change anything. He “played the 4” this year in our 4 guard lineup.
I didn’t say we would be better, I laid it out, but I’ll do it even a little more in depth…Aidoo can guard the 5. We still aren’t going to be any better offensively at that position. And it’s like people already forgot what a good player like Dickinson did with Uros trying to guard him.
Majority of the year we didn’t have Aidoo or Nkahmoua, and early on we weren’t playing JJJ at the 4. There’s 80 minutes at the 4/5 and you have JJJ/Nkahmoua/Aidoo/Plav, even with foul trouble you still can split it up…and doesn’t change the fact of those we do have bring more productive than those we had.You can’t roll into a season with 3 post guys. Foul trouble was an issue when we had 4.
You can chalk it up anyway you like it but losing Fulky and continuing to rely heavily on Plavsic isn’t an upgrade when we were planning on getting Nkamhoua back and hoping the 2 freshmen would take big steps forward to reduce his minutes.and doesn’t change the fact of those we do have bring more productive than those we had.
Right, if you want to talk about expected then sure, if you want to refer to how it compares to last year then no.You can chalk it up anyway you like it but losing Fulky and continuing to rely heavily on Plavsic isn’t an upgrade when we were planning on getting Nkamhoua back and hoping the 2 freshmen would take big steps forward to reduce his minutes.
