Nobody on this board that knows what they are talking about was going to be thrilled with Jitoboh."Im not sure Pember will ever contribute let alone as a freshman."
Pember is a top 200 player in the country. He is a highly rated 3 star and the 5th ranked player in Tennessee. To say he may not contribute as a freshman is fair (and truthfully fair for all players not ranked in the top 50 or so - even DJ Burns who was a borderline top 100 wasn't ready to as a freshman). However, to say you don't think he may ever contribute is a gross exaggeration based on nothing. Gaines is actually the lowest ranked player in the signing class at 229. This is not a personal slight to you either as this seems to be a very common thought process on Pember. I just don't really see where it is coming from. Jason Jitoboh, who signed with Florida and who a ton of people would have been thrilled if he signed with Tennessee is ranked considerably lower than both Pember and Gaines at 277.
His (Jitoboh) level of athleticism and foot speed is very concerning. I’ll be shocked if he finishes his career at Florida, much less makes an impact. I think White really reached on that one. On the other hand, if you are going to reach on a guy, it helps that he is 6-11, 290 and is in a class with Tre Mann, Scottie Lewis, and Omar Payne.Yeah, I was worried he'd come in out of shape and didn't see explosiveness when I watched him. Strong & big body, but he'd be a stronger RS candidate than Pember imo
If we are telling Jalen Cone to reclassify, then there is no chance of Bone coming back.
Turner had a 2.50 assist/turnover ratio last season. That was one of the better ratios in the country and would've been the best on the team if not for Bone's single season UT record of 2.91Or just the fact that we have nobody behind bone.turner is a turn over machine and the game is 40 minutes not just 20.Bone will return.

Look I don’t want to drag you but this is just a completely wrong take. Do you know how many players that saw the floor against Tech in the final were outside the top 100. One. If you are expect kids at 277 to play meaningful minutes you are expecting to be an NIT team. This isn’t football. Even assuming 15 kids are one and dones you are talking about being able to populate the entire starting line up of every major college team every four years just with top 150 players. Only five kids can play at a time. There’s a reason Virginia was the first first tike winner since 2006- and it was their uncharacteristically stacked recruiting class when they brought in four four star kids- guys with names like Jerome, Hunter, Guy
So Bone Gone?I wouldn't say there's NO chance of Bone coming back if we take Cone, but it tells me they're hedging their bets on that. Cone would be VERY young if he came in next season after reclassifying, so it might do him good to learn behind Gone/Josiah James regardless. I think it means it's more likely that Bone is gone, but I don't think this information is an absolute guarantee.
Texas Tech didn’t play a single Top 100 kid all year, tell me more.Look I don’t want to drag you but this is just a completely wrong take.
