One guys opinion.

Homepage | MrSEC.com

A lot has been written on Tennessee's violations and what the punishment should be..........What should the punishment be?

In my honest opinion anyone who self proclaims themself Mr. SEC is a huge douchebag.. :eek:lol::eek:lol::eek:lol::rock::eek:lol::rock:

But Pearl is probably gonna get into more trouble beyond our self impsed punishment...

Well for starters, he sacrificed the program for himself.

We should of just sent Bruce Pearl to "The Maury Show" for a lie detector test when this first started. It is all fun and games until Maury Povich busts with a "you FAILED the test" or a "you ARE the father" answer.

Don't be surprised if Pearl resigns at seasons end. Wait! Can he resign without a contract? Well anyway don't be surprised if Pearl steps down at seasons end.

Wouldn't shock me in the least bit. Probably the best for all parties involved.

I just hope its not one of those tearful...I'm doing it for the program type things.

You can almost rest assured it will be flamboyant. Just wonder if Brandy rubs his shoulders and stares down the crowd, or if Griff gets that nod?

I don't care how he does it as long as he leaves. I'm sure it will be very emotional and he will tell us how much he loves the university. ESPN will grab him for 2-3 years and then someone desperate will give him another chance at coaching. It would absolutely be the best for him and the university.

I lost my list of the college basketball coaches that don't lie.

Could someone please post it in this thread? Oh yeah, that's right never mind.

it would be a long list of coaches who don't lie directly to the NCAA

Well, we do know that he was not charged with unethical conduct, or providing false information to the NCAA. That really should provide us with some clue as to if he mislead investigators.

The report I heard on ESPN radio came out after the punishments were handed down. Regardless, Pearl did lie to investigators and there are plenty of other coaches who have. Pearl is not the first or the last.

The fact is there aren't plenty of others who have lied to NCAA investigators. If you want to support Pearl, fine. Don't use the excuse that plenty of other coaches have done the same as Pearl because it simply isn't true.

what percentage of coaches have lied to the NCAA and gotten away with it? 25%? 50%?
