Why don't you just name the other coaches who are in Pearl's situation. I know it will take you a long time as you know so many. I could compile the list very easily by simply saying zero.

You just proved my point, nobody knows who has or has not done it. A list isn't available. For folks to continue to carry on like Pearl is the devil is ridiculous.

I believe that Pearl was dumb enough to get caught lying. In my opinion, he falls in the middle of the pack as far as ethics go in college basketball coaching circles. Is that good enough for UT, who knows? He is the coach until he is fired or resigns. All this hand ringing pollyanna stuff doesn't change that.

Do you really believe that the NCAA thinks that everyone is always honest to them all the time?

Pearl just happens to be the idiot who doesn't know how to cover up his tracks.

Exactly. You're using pure speculation that you have absolutely no facts to back up to somehow justify what Pearl has done. Maybe Hamilton will give that a shot in June "Well, Mr. Chairman, I have no basis for this whatsoever, but I have decided that everyone in the 'AA lies and have all engaged in acts just as bad as what Pearl has done. Again, no evidence, just a gut feeling we have. Thank you."

Leaving out half a quote is sort of like not telling the truth. Could care less what Hamilton says to 'AA. Not defending Pearl as evidenced by the remainder of my post below that you failed to post above. I just don't hate the guy.

When you can explain to me how any of those 3 coaches you mentioned have done anything even remotely as harmful to their schools as Pearl has done, then maybe I'll reconsider.

What I really believe is that the NCAA brings charges against folks who lie to their investigators. I'm not aware of all these other folks who have the same charges as Pearl. Why don't you enlighten everyone?

I don't work for the NCAA but if I did, im sure I or you would have a pretty good idea on who we need to keep an eye on.

Absolutely, he is worse. Those three have not been charged with ethical charges. Calhoun has rules violations, but not the same charges as lying to NCAA investigators. In fact, his staff that did lie are no longer employed. The old argument that they all cheat is easy, but doesn't fly without factual information that you or anyone else doesn't possess.

Anyone who believes that Calhoun told the truth about not being aware of what goes on in his program must believe that Pearl did not recognize his own home.

The 'AA choses what to go after. In Calhoun's case they let it 'lie'.

I don't have access the the NCAA's information. But the fact is, based on the history of the NCAA, they don't have enough resources to catch every single infraction.

Bruce Pearl got caught and will severly pay for his actions
