This is in my garage plugged into power to keep the battery topped off. It plugs into a transfer panel that switches 10 critical circuits from grid power to generator power. Yes, my gas furnaces are in those critical circuits. We will even still have internet and TV with this setup. No AC compressors tho. The starting currents are too large. Note the “tent” it allows me to roll the generator out of the garage to keep down on carbon monoxide getting into the house.I don't want to seem incompassinate but this looking to the state capital or DC when things go downhill has to stop....right now in the garage we have an emergency supply section...food, blankets, generator, electric heater and window AC plus weather band radio and first aid stuff...Watched a documentary last night on the coldest place on Earth in Siberia where people have lived for centuries in -50 temps in winter and we can't handle a week in this country
