link I found,
10 dead. Of those at least 3 are unrelated to power issues.

10 deaths linked to winter storm
[12:27 p.m.] At least 10 people have died in weather-related incidents across the Houston area, the Houston Chronicle reported earlier Tuesday.

At least one of those incidents was related to a motor vehicle accident, while others were tied to extremely cold weather brought by a massive winter storm, fires and suspected carbon monoxide poisoning, according to authorities in the area.
Authorities also found two dead people who were homeless, and suspected the cause of death to be exposure to the cold temperatures, though autopsies will confirm the official causes of death
Does this mean people are not dying from the Rona anymore?

The lack of basic high school science knowledge displayed by left wingers in here is more of a tragedy than the once in a century cold snap that hit Texas. FFS. Its like all of you either went to school in the ghetto or dropped out in middle school. Which is it?

Why would they winterize? Do you build a home the same in San Antonio as you would in Minnesota? No. Are the building codes the same for someone living on the beach as someone living on a mountain? No. Why is that? Do different climates and environmental locations necessitate different requirements due to historical and scientific data? Yes. That tweet is a glaring indictment of the overall poor education and critical thinking skills of the people in the media and in the world in general.
what’s happening right now is why they should winterize.

You can't on one hand blame wind for being unreliable and then throw your hands up and say "why the hell would we prepare our wind turbines for this kind of weather?"

So, people in Texas don't bother with owning winter coats? Winterizing isn't just for places that snow a lot. Freezing is relatively common in Texas even if this deep freeze is rare.

The bottom line is that Texas went the bargain bin route and cut every imaginable corner. Now they're showing why you get what you pay for.
