You want a contribution, here you go:
I consider myself a big vols fan, I may not have been a fan long but I watch every football game and most baseball and basketball games...
I pay a lot of money to watch the vols using my espn college pass subscription, in fact it's an entire weeks wages per month. I watch every game so I can cheer on the team I love. It's entertainment, if we lose I am frustrated, if we win it makes the next 7 days sweeter. I am not at all used to winning, I have only been a fan since the start of last season so when we win I love it.
Can I understand your point? Yes. Do I agree with your point? No. If you are rooting for your team to lose then why are you watching? Why are you a fan? What would be the point in me watching any more games this season if I wanted us to lose?
I want us to win always, it's why I have a give my all sign above my bedroom door, it's why I wear my jersey while watching each game, it's why I wear vols gear frequently, it's why I stay up till 3:00am to watch games of a university team based in a place I have never been to, it's why I am on this forum. I am a Vols fan and I want us to win, I want to see us in a bowl game for the first time so I don't have to sit through the bowl game period and wait another year for another shot at a little glory.
Sure it may have gotten Dooley fired and that may be good for our futures, but please, don't root for a loss....
