No matter how much I want a new and upgraded coaching situation, I simply could never feel grateful for a loss. This loss burns and I am in no way happy about it.

I have cried in the past after a loss. Usually most of the time I just got pissed for days. Since around sometime last year I stopped feeling anything. (I was slightly mad after the Florida loss). But Dooley has given us nothing to hang our hats on. Nothing to look foward to, no hope. I will never root againest the players/vols. But this loss didn't burn at all.

Sacrilege? Not even close. With that loss even big media members are publicly calling for dooley's firing, nevermind the entire fanbase. I dont see how any fan could conclude that a 4 ot win would be anywhere near as valuable to the program as this loss is.

Says a guy who named himself after Sunseri.

:eek:lol:

Wow, has no one here even heard of the concept "Lose Today To Win Later?"

I personally don't do it but I can understand why people would.

i was pulling against them all the way, i hope they lose out. im sure that wont be too hard the way the d has been playing though. not to mention that they cant beat anybody that plays in the sec...i think thats the plan, dooley knows he cant cut it and ever since they cut his assistants last year hes just hanging around till someone cuts him a 5 mil check. or he can keep drawing a yearly check till his contract runs out. either way hes just there for the money and he clearly has no interest in whether we win or lose because the little stupid mistakes like always having too many men on the field during special team play would have been corrected a long time ago. eventually he will be gone its just a matter of how long us fans will have to suffer before someone decides to pull the trigger

Lol, the dude is just fishing for easy likes, he contributed nothing with that utterly generic comment.

You want a contribution, here you go:

I consider myself a big vols fan, I may not have been a fan long but I watch every football game and most baseball and basketball games...

I pay a lot of money to watch the vols using my espn college pass subscription, in fact it's an entire weeks wages per month. I watch every game so I can cheer on the team I love. It's entertainment, if we lose I am frustrated, if we win it makes the next 7 days sweeter. I am not at all used to winning, I have only been a fan since the start of last season so when we win I love it.

Can I understand your point? Yes. Do I agree with your point? No. If you are rooting for your team to lose then why are you watching? Why are you a fan? What would be the point in me watching any more games this season if I wanted us to lose?

I want us to win always, it's why I have a give my all sign above my bedroom door, it's why I wear my jersey while watching each game, it's why I wear vols gear frequently, it's why I stay up till 3:00am to watch games of a university team based in a place I have never been to, it's why I am on this forum. I am a Vols fan and I want us to win, I want to see us in a bowl game for the first time so I don't have to sit through the bowl game period and wait another year for another shot at a little glory.

Sure it may have gotten Dooley fired and that may be good for our futures, but please, don't root for a loss....

You, my friend really get it. I hope that you are able to attend a game in the future sometime. I have been to games at Neyland ever since I was 4 years old ( longer than I would care to admit). There have been great years and there have been years ( in 1980, 1981 ) when I was in the POTSB that I overheard fans say, " Well at least the band is good" I can say that I have never wished us anything but a win. I want CDD to be successful as well, but I can be realistic in the fact that it doesn't look so good for him. But I will never, ever , ever hope that the Vols lose, not when the players are out on the field busting their butts to get a win. I was at the game yesterday, and saw some positive things as well as negative things ( and some of it was just almost too painful to watch). Keep cheering for the Vols and never apologize for it:eek:k: By the way, not all fans are really negative -- you are just on a sounding board where some can vent their frustrations.Glad you are a Vol fan- we would like to spread the Big Orange fan membership world-wide

Thanks man, means a lot that I get accepted into the Vol family without any real connection aside from loving sports.

I hope folks who think the same as us outnumber guys who want the Vols to lose!

Lol, nice try. No amount of hero or white knight comments can touch that. But anyway, yes I am a true fan, thanks for noticing. Any true fan would do what it takes to get this moron fired and get this program moving. Another loss was the quickest way to make it happen. Problem?

You are not a true fan. You are a so so bandwagon fan.

There is NEVER any reason to WANT our beloved Tennessee Vols to lose no matter what the circumstances may be, NEVER!!!!

All the people on here that ever wanted our Vols to lose are NOT and have NEVER been real Tennessee fans that has Big Orange blood pumping through their body.

The OP and others are totally PATHETIC because they do NOT even consider the kids playing for us all especially our SENIORS that are for the most part playing their LAST games of football ever.

Many of our Seniors have been loving and playing football since their per wee days and they LOVE football and they want to play in a bowl game even if it's the Music City Bowl or anywhewre else because for 99% of them it WILL be their very LAST time to ever strap on the shoulder pads and pull a jersey on over their heads and have 1 last chance to play the game they love and have worked so hard to be a team member.

Friday night I went to my sons playoff game and we lost.

After the game most of the Seniors were crying and NOT because they lost the playoff game.

Those Seniors in high school were crying their eyes out because they know they will NEVER again play football on any team.

Just like most Seniors on our beloved Vols team know that after the last game this year they will NEVER again play on any football team and that rips their hearts out.

The coaches really don't matter because they have money and they all will coach again but NOT our Senior players.

You should ALWAYS cheer on our Vols and hope for a Win every gameday and fill Neyland because of our KIDS out on the field and NOT because you like or dislike any coaches.

IMO hoping our Vols will lose any game is pathetic, immature, classless and showing total disregard for the kids on the field giving their all for us little fans to have a nice day while they're getting beat up and going through alot of pain.

Thank God that I'm old and mature enough to understand the feelings of the kids and to understand that the bottomline is that it's a damn GAME no matter how much we love our Vols and want to Win every game.

I also have zero doubts that all that want Tennessee to ever lose a game have never been on a team, strapped on the pads or pulled a jersey over their heads and has to face the reality of the last game of their Senior year that their football playing days were GONE forever and how much that really hurts.

Do NOT ever try to tell me you're a fan because the ONLY think you care about is your own personal enjoyment and bragging rights but you sure as hell do NOT care a damn thing about our players on the field and THOSE are the kids we should all be really caring about.

I actually pity you people that feel that way and care nothing about the kids that give so much because you're obviously very shallow people with no real integrity and the priorities that are totally backwards and completely classless.

Times like these makes it hard to wear my Tennessee Orange and admit that I love my Vols no matter what and it's these so-called fans that makes it the toughest, not losing games which I totally hate.

Well....at least Alabama lost. Small yes, but at this point , it's the little things that help.
But I would have rather the Vols win one. Dooley is a goner , sooner or later. Most likely sooner.

Lots of holier than thou folks in here. Never root against the Vols but am happy to know the result it brings. Dooley is on over his head. That is clear.
