That's racist!

:D

well Knoxville was outta the picture after I visited and some relatives fed me fruit salad made with mayonnaise

Gainesville? I begged the judge not to send me to that disgusting swamp

LULZ! I'm going back to E. TN in a couple of weeks and I can guarantee my mom will have something similar in the fridge. I don't get it.

Can't blame you regarding Gainesville. It's a dump! Without UF, it would have nothing.

Ok Dad, I will but that's a strange response. "Opposing opinions are welcome" but... not yet lol. You understand my confusion there

Please express any opinion you deem necessary. I personally like controversial stuff. If you go Luther 2.0 prepare yourself for ominous GIFS!

you have not demonstrated that in any way

is not being able to pay for nutritious food or safe housing different for people in the same area/same income but with different skin tone?

I can hardly think of a more divisive approach to addressing a problem than the one you are advocating

Gentrification. The sheer number of underprivileged black vs. white. Reparation sentiment. These facts do not require demonstration

'I will never go to a Serena Williams level, but I'm comfortable at Halle Berry': Veteran radio DJ is fired for using black celebrities to describe how he likes his TOAST

  • Rob Lederman used black celebrities' skin tones to describe how he likes toast
Veteran radio morning show DJ Rob Lederman has been fired for comparing black women to toast and equating light skin tones to being attractive.

The clip aired on radio station 97 in Buffalo, New York, on Wednesday morning and featured comments related to the attractiveness of several black female celebrities.

'I will never go to a Serena Williams level. But I’m very comfortable at a Halle Berry level. I need a little bit of mulatto still coming through.'

Another host brings up journalist Gayle King.

'Gayle King is not even on my toaster level,' Lederman says as the clip comes to an end.

Gentrification impacts white and black.

Sentiment doesn't justify discrimination. That's like saying there's a segregation sentiment so that justifies segregation policies.

there are less than 2.5x as many underprivileged black than white and still near 11K underprivileged white.

why not help everyone?

The only thing discussions on racism has taught me is that many people think it's okay to hate white people because of the color of their skin. It's as if they can't see they are what they claim to hate. People have corrupted the word "equality" so damn much that they have no idea what it really means.

This is the only thing you’ve learned??? Wow you should have more discussions regarding race 😳

Please tell us how you beat systematic racism. Some of us have been waiting quite some time for this golden answer 🍿🍿 🍿
First we must identify which systems are inherently racist and what mechanisms are being used. We've done some of this. The problem is systemic racism isn't the main issue facing people of color, poverty rates, crime etc. The systemic racism of the past explains in part how we got here today but it isn't the factor that turns the corner. To pretend it is the main factor will only ensure people of color remain pawns.

If systemic racism in America were in fact the means by which white people in America are favored the two most successful groups of Americans today would not be people of color. There is something very specific that both of those groups have in common though. That should be the way forward IMO.

Not equally in Oakland.

Depends on what the sentiment is based on.

The need is still not equal and the displacement has disproportionately affected black people.

disproportionate doesn't = only or absolutely

the need is equal family to family; sad to say some of those families simply don't matter because of their skin color
