Playing with a Sergio allows me to drink 12-18 beers in a round. Not sure if that is a good or bad thing???

:whistling:

Speaking of euros . . . I'm glad to see Justin Rose playing well.

He also has a knack for acting like an annoying euro.
could not be more annoying, but I wish our guys would needle their squad like that a bit......oh wait, you have to actually have some prayer of winning to drive that barb

The scary thing is that I think today was the day to post a number. If there's no rain, it could be pure carnage from here on in; especially if the wind blows at all. I think +5 wins the tournament.

That's a very good possibility.

Have DiMarco, Howell, Goosen and Johnson played themselves out of the tourney on the first day? All are 6 over right now.

I know. I use his name when I joke around with brother. "Ok Sergio, let's get a move on it." or "Toddaayyyyyy Sergiooo!".

Speaking of Sergio.... How does Furyk not catch the same level of hell for his...approach the ball, back off, approach the ball, back off, approach the ball, back off... style, that Sergio caught for his waggle?...

If the cut fell right now it would be +4... the way the course is about to play, I suppose anything is possible. But yeah, I'd have to say their chances this year have already hit the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

I think any of that group that plays well today is back in the middle of things.

I was hoping you were responding to my Furyk question...
I agree that his pre-putt routine is worthy of heckling, but American golf fans aren't going to heckle their own, unless he's a Sergio style pr1ck.

That said, I can't believe we don't heckle Seve into the ground for his inability to drive the golf ball. He couldn't any more win at the revamped Augusta than I could.

Yeah, I suppose he does get the pass on that account. It's not just a putting thing though, he does it before every shot....

Seve, well, he really ought not even be playing the regular tour anymore. The magic has clearly faded.

Funk had a very solid 51st birthday yesterday...

We will not generally heckle our own, and Furyk has a no-flash persona. In other words he hasn't done or said anything to piss anybody off.

He has a no flash wardrobe as well. Those shirts he wears are quite possibly the ugliest golf attire I have ever seen...

exactly.....did you see him late yesterday? took 10 minutes to set up for hte put, and left it a foot short.

we waited thru all that posturing to watch you leave it short?

i promise you i could have done that in about 10 seconds.

but no one dislikes Furyk at the end of the day. plus he's the hometown kid this weekend.
