Nah. It's the course. There's some lame going on here. Freddie Jacobsen shoots 7 under on an open track not at Pinehurst, and it's playing like a Western Open. The number of 5 under type rounds over the weekend has been ridiculous. I've seen hordes of short - mid irons actually stop on the greens.

It's definitely soft for an Open, Papa. The rough is soft and greens are soft. How many Open's do you see that in? My comment was more about the fact that it's never been done before in US Opens. I wonder why they didn't shave the greens or something after it rained.
