Has anyone ever ridden in a velodrome? I'm thinking about making a trip to Madison, Wisconsin to ride the US proposed 2016 Olympic road course for a day and I'm pretty sure they have a velodrome and I might stop in there if I have my track bike by then.

Discovered the disc on my front wheel is warped and rubbing the caliper. I was wondering why pedaling was so tough at times....

I think I'm going to buy a Specialized Hardrock or some kind of hard tail mountain bike this summer. We have some awesome trails around here and I really want to ride them.

If you can afford it try to a step higher than a Hardrock. You can great deals on frames on ebay. Mountain biking is the best.

Volatile, out riding and stopped by to poke around the Felt dealership. i gotta admit, im a little jealous of ya bruh. the Felt mountain bikes are equally as beautiful.. they also carry a road bike called something Merckx(sp) that are bad@ss. i keep wanting to call them Richard Merckx, lol, but sure that is incorrect. question. how much will i need to pay for a set of cables for my Schwinn Moab? the only thing i see, different about them, is that they are bare wire where they span the length of the frame. the guy at the cycle studio quoted me $60 w/labor.

$60 w labor sounds about right. The bikes are designed by Eddie Merckx, former TdF winner. Top notch. We have just dealers for Trek, Specialized, Orbea, KHS, Kona, Giant, Gary Fisher, Cannondale, Felt, and Raleigh here. Nothing quite like a Merckx in there.

I'm thinking pretty hard about living car free. My car broke down this morning on the way to work so the daily 36 mile round-trip commute to work is looking better everyday. I'll probably have to build up a full commuter bike if I go that way. Panniers and all.

ive loosely considering doing somewhat the same. i live close to work but alot of hills. im too sissy to do it in winter tho. more of a money saving option, to me.

to be honest, those and the Felts are so nice, i would go out of my mind, trying to keep them from getting scratched. there are hundreds and hundreds of cyclists here, but you dont see too many riding bikes of that caliber.

He should be replacing the housing too. Merckks are sweet. Pinerello Prince or Dogma is my favorite. If I ever have 5 grand I don't need I'm gonna buy one.

Btw, my singlespeed is a Moab. Love that bike. Its indestructible.

I considered a Pinorello FP1 because it was in my price range, but the closest dealer is in Chicago I think. I wanted to buy from an LBS.

pardon my ignorance, but housing are you referring to?

Usually there's housing around the cable, but if yours is bare then that doesn't matter. Usually runs from brake/shifter with housing, then bare down the top/bottom tube to the brakes/derailleurs.

uphill coming home or downhill?

Uphill coming home. When my bike comes in I'll have to run through it on a day off. Roundtrip is 26.2 miles. Haha.

thats good. getting to work on time is important so your to work trip will be faster. 13.1 miles w/ 1 big hill, is actually a pretty favorable commute, imo. id def enjoy that.

bump any you guys get any saddle time this weekend? nada for me. sigh.

Nope and it sucked. Sunday afternoon was 75 degrees and sunny. Went to this family style restaurant in the country for dinner. Drove right by the trailhead and I could see the creeks were up from a heavy rain the day before. It would have been an awesome ride. Sucks being responsible sometimes.
