Took it out for a nice 2.5 mile ride right before work and snapped a photo. Took it out again tonight when I got off work and tested out a sprint. It's so responsive and stiff. The power transfer is about 10x better than my Trek. I'm confident I can hit 30+mph sprinting on this vs. 24mph on the Trek.

still thinking about commuting on it Vt? im seriously considering it. i mapped it yesterday, and have about 6 miles w a bit of uphill. going to try and ride it to gauge the time, and go from there. the Felt looks awesome, btw. if the white inner forks were orange like that, it would be PERFECT.

got in an hour and half of saddle time yesterday. biked 3 of the hills in my collection. my legs are starting to outdistance my time, in the evenings, which makes me extremely proud. i have also been riding with a cold, this week. ill never give up my mountain bike, but sometimes i wonder how much i could accomplish on a decent road bike, considering i do 90% of my riding on the road.

The matching fork will be on it next week. My LBS didn't have a carbon steer tube cutter so he had to order it. It's white and black.

You will definitely be more efficient on a road bike.

I think I want a 29er but convincing the misses is going to take a lot of work.

Going for a short loop with a nice hill in the middle of it in about an hour, then hitting the gym. I can't wait for the river to recede so I can get on the bike path and take it for a distance. I don't feel like dealing with early morning traffic here. Gonna grab some white Cro-Moly Speedplay Light Actions on my lunch break from my LBS. The float on them should cure my knee pain.

If I end up commuting, I'm just going to build a different set up. This isn't a commuter bike in any sense. No clearance for fenders, no place to put a rack, and I'm sure I'd just keep riding past my job if I did.

Bought Speedplay pedals today and learned I get a discount at both bike shops I shop at. Hopefully these pedals reduce knee pain that I suspect has been caused by my old pedals.

thinking of investing in a rooftop bike rack for my suv. saw one online for like 45 bucks. am i inviting trouble by conisdering a chep one. thats over 50% less than a Thule or Yakima. also considering building my own but that will probably end up being a monstrosity.

I'm thinking of getting a Yakima roof rack. I can order them through work for about $200 which includes a bike tray. My car takes a specific design so they're expensive and hard to find used.
