The All Things Cycling Thread

Fun trail ride today with no sand. A little more treacherous with lots more hills. Found some little in and out places to go through. Getting more comfortable with the bike too.

Need to do something to get people in the doors once the weather turns cold. I sat around cleaning the shop for the last two weeks, maybe did 5 or so repairs and built that Pinarello.

is Kona a good bike? I'm not familiar with that brand. I see they are expensive. I might have found one that would fit me but pricey..

its a 29er XL frame

Great bikes. My next road bike will be a titanium Kona. They make excellent mountain bikes. Which model and how much?

hei hei 29er deluxe full suspension.

he is asking $1500. its over my limit but perfect size, XL frame. Looks to be in great condition.

That's a deal. I've ridden one many times. They're a bit long, so sluggish in tight singletrack but honestly all FS 29ers are (with the exception of the Felt Edict Nine). It's a great bike nonetheless. Go for it.

True. If I lived there I'd probably ride 3 weeks/year.

You get a solid 4 months of good road riding here. Mid-April through Mid-August are great, sometimes you even get through September or all of April.

Went for 25 on the fat bike just riding the low low Mississippi river bottoms. Got muddy, drank beers.

Fat bike riding on Friday and Sunday have laid waste to my bike. Two broken teeth on the big chainring, two flats on Sunday, a dent in the rear rim, and some serious chain suck problems. Tried setting up my rear wheel tubeless last night and kind of failed... now I get to clean the Stan's sealant out and start all over again. Setting up the front today, hopefully that one sticks. All of this happening with 4 days to go until Global Fat Bike Day on Saturday and a lot of riding with 100+ participants.

51 year old man was hit by a car last night about a mile from my house, in an intersection I ride through almost daily. He wasn't wearing a helmet and the investigators believe that if he had been he would have survived. He also blew through the red light, so there's that, too...

12 hours of riding in single digits today with 59 of my fattest friends. Such a great day. Cold as balls, though.
