You are right. Nothing like that rush you get after crossing the finishline.
I actually inproved on all 3 legs of the race and both transitions. Last years time was 1hr 46min 23sec. This year was 1hr 42min 33sec.

Nice improvement

Ignore the time, I don't know how to reset my computer yet.

Here's my Endomondo workout if anyone is interested. It gives elevation gain and stuff. Notice hills are my worst enemy and the wind was putting a hurt on me. Still have 50 more miles to ride tonight.

Stupid weather. Check the map and no rain for 200 miles. Drive to the trail and it starts raining. Check the map again and apparently the clouds turned to rain after passing over the mountain. Then back home no rain.

Only 20 miles tonight because I set a pace that was too fast for the guy I was riding with. So I did sprint workouts on the way home. Here's the Endomondo workout. The spikes in speed are me sprinting to drop my riding partner. I succeeded all but once.

Interesting, but expensive bike.
There's a used one here for sale I'm looking at.

So 24 days after being hit by car and bike mangled, I now have my new bike and went for ride today.:dance2:Ended up buying a gravity liberty from bikes direct after I test road one from a craigslist ad. Not the fanciest but should do all that I need from it for now. Funny think is that it weighed less in the box with all the packing materials than just the old bike. Looking forward to breaking her in!

One of my friends has that exact bike. Upgrade the brakes ASAP bc they're worthless. Lol. Otherwise, it was surprisingly well built.

I was really apprehensive about buying sight unseen and not being able to test ride it and then I found one on craigslist. I was then able to test ride the bike and ordered from BD site because the guy wanted more than BD did, with all the same stock equipment. So I decided I could wait a few days until it arrived.

The whole mechanism. Find some cheap used 105's. That's my next upgrade after helmet and shoes.

Thanks again for all your, you too Tri Vol, help and patience in answering questions during this process. It was greatly appreciated.

Some of them are worth it if you're looking to upgrade a current bike to higher end components. You can recoup most by swapping old components to the BD frame and selling it off.

Vt, what is wrong with the BD frames? are they knockoffs? will they tear up? ill always be simply a leisure rider with a competitive spirit, so i have a hard time judging your standards against mine, because you are looking to compete. one of these bikes, on the surface, would seem to be good for me as far as what i can afford, i just dont want something that will break and cause me to get in a nasty wreck or something.

Nothing wrong with them that will cause an accident. They're just mass produced knockoffs. What happened was the owner bought up all of the expired name copyrights of old, famous manufacturers and relabeled the frames. It's kind of scummy, but whatever. The components are all New Old Stock from previous years.

The biggest knock was the frames are made in taiwan however most frames are made in asia now. Also some people might not be comfortable assembling the bike. Not sure of the warranty either. Imo, too many people say good things about them for it to be junk.

Vt can probably add more detail.

He already did
