Solid. Use Tri-Flow on chains.

can you guys suggest a good spray on dry lube? my buddy has a can of Loc Tite dry lube and i used to use stuf called Dri Lube on locks. seems it would be a ton easier getting spray lube into the nooks, than the liquid stuf i use currently.

Avenir Slik-Dry Cycle Lube or Pedro's Extra Dry Lube. Both are in aerosol cans and both work well.

It's so nice outside I want to go for a ride. This hangover has got me strapped to my bed, though. Also doesn't help that my new bike isn't here yet and my old one needs a lot of work before I take it out.

How'd you slide off the road/path? I did that once at night and ended up over my handlebars and on my back, unconscious. Good thing I was with a group of friends.

kinda hard to explain. trail is cut into the side of the hill but there is a spot where you can go up the hill (off the trail) and then drop back down on to the trail to pick up some extra speed. When I came back down, must have hit a root. Wheel kicked sideways and I went over the front. Done it a million times before not sure why this was different.

are those different from generic dry lubes? putting cycle in the name usually jacks the price up on stuf..

I'm waiting on my new Z6 to come in. I wish I had a way to track it. "Sometime this week...hopefully." I hate waiting. In the meantime, I've been searching for bikes for my friends on super tight budgets. Every time we come across something good on Craigslist, it's sold before we hear back from the people. They never leave a phone number and hardly ever check their emails, apparently.

I have several large hills that I want to conquer on a full carbon frame. And then go extremely fast back down.

I just decided I'm building a fixie again. Last attempt was a fail, but this time I won't be using a 70's Schwinn Varsity. I'm gonna find a sweet 80's Italian frame.

And I'm pretty sure I diagnosed myself with IT band syndrome, fits the bill perfectly.

i saw an OLD french road bike at goodwill that looked like it had been babied its whole life. had to have been the top of the line in its day. cant remember the name. if i had extra space and money i would have snagged it just to have it.

I snagged an early 80's Miyata from Goodwill for $8.50. Components are perfect, but the seat stays are bent. Still rides well, but I'm going to used the components for the fixie and scrap the frame (63cm).

Gonna hit the spin bike tonight at the Y. Decided to run at lunch instead of ride. Have the bike on the rack on the Jeep just in case though.

I spent about 4 hours at my LBS this afternoon. We built up an orange Serrotta frame with full Campy Record gruppo. Learned that I'll have my bike built by next Tuesday night. Also met a local business owner and racer that makes/sells green tea matchi. That stuff is delicious, but I can't find a retail around here..

Sounds like your cable might be stretched and needs to be replaced

Third ring only? Sounds like your derailluer needs to be adjusted. 10 minutes fix at your LBS.

The stationary bikes at the gym are both broken so I have to run on the treadmill for now. Not so bad, actually. Tuesday cannot get her quick enough.
