I'll tell you how it's different. Dooley didn't run off a bunch of Techs players saying they wouln't fit into the system he has planned. Dooley didn't leave Tech with the NCAA breathing down their necks for violations he was responsible for. Dooley didn't call top recruits on Techs dime and try to take their top recruits with him.
To sum it up...Dooley didn't leave Tech in far worse shape then he found them.

Perfect storm.
Lets hope a visiting gator recruit was in the car with Lame, coping him some knob when he crashed into the tree..

Back to the topic at hand...cover ups used to be the norm...its just harder to do these days. Fulmer had his share as did Majors.

I told them the whole apt deal downtown, Tomlin getting into an altercation, and the wrecked Lexus deal. Does anyone know anything else I could tell them? I gave them all the tips I know from my source...

All I am saying is that I sent them a tip and 20 mins later they are giving me a call. So I call my guy and he tells me who it is where its at and what coaches were living there. Im giving them the info and they can do whatever they want with it.

We'll just have to agree to disagree then. I'm not saying that UT and LA Tech are on the same level in college football. Obviously, they're not. But, that shouldn't really matter. Most people are looking at this through orange-colored glasses and can't understand how UT would ever be a stepping stone. All I'm saying is that Dooley used LA Tech like Kiffin used UT, and there's nothing wrong with that.... for either of them. If you want to say that Kiffin "jilted" UT, then Dooley "jilted" LA Tech. That's my point.

The two situations are not even remotely the same.

1) Kiffin did us a favor by throwing those kids off the team. They were either thugs or didn't want to work hard. That's a good thing. Plus, how do you know that Dooley didn't kick some guys off the LA Tech team?

2) Nothing will come of the NCAA deal. Every coach in America commits violations. Fulmer did. Kiffin did. And, Dooley will.

3) I've already admitted that calling recruits was low-ball. But, this had zilch to do with the actual departure. People on here were furious before that info came out that night.

Ok, tell me how. And don't go down the "well this is a major step up for Dooley from LA Tech. It's 2 completely different programs, and Kiffin made a lateral move" road. I've heard that already. And, to be honest, Kiffin didn't see this as a lateral move. He had a lot more reason to go back to USC. The truth is that both coaches left their programs 3 weeks before NSD. The timing sucks for both programs, but it was the right move for each coach.

Didn't you know? A coach should only be held to their word if they coach at a school in a BCS league.

Big whoop. He was also their AD. So, you want to tell me how that doesn't set their athletic program back potentially even more (respectively) to UT?

Also, like I said earlier, the reason Dooley was there for 3 years is b/c he didn't have a "USC offer" on the table. I'm sure if UT had offered him 14 months into his tenure at LA Tech, he would've turned it down, right?

722 South Gay Street. On gay street and directly across from a parking lot, next to the Bijou theater. If this is the case then, no boosters or coaches will be tied to it. B/c essentially anyone can "rent" it. I know because i have stayed there.
