It also helps when you're averaging .5 hits per inning and a WHIP of 1.13. I haven't seen much of him, but the numbers seem to indicate that his wildness is part of what makes him effective.
Chipper is done. Torn ACL. I hate it for him.
MRI shows Jones has torn ACL, agent said | Atlanta Braves
I would hate it for him that his career could be over due to injury...Not the way you want to go out.
I say keep him on the roster and let him pinch hit and win a game with a walkoff homer to right, while limping around the bases doing a fist pump.
Got to make a deal now.

It was no less obvious that they needed to make a deal two weeks ago, and Wren came away with Ankiel and Farnsworth. A meaningful deal is not going to happen.
Time for Heyward to move into the 3 slot that, with luck, he won't relinquish until 2025 or so.
Prado-Infante or Infante-Prado, in your opinion?
Up to me:
3B Prado
2B Infante
RF Heyward
C McCann
1B Glaus (needs to turn this semi-hot streak into another tear)
LF Hinkse/Diaz
SS Gonzalez
CF Ankiel/Melky
Would be wonderful if McLouth found half of himself sometime soon.
Infante-Prado is the way I'd play it in a computer game, because that gives Prado a chance to drive Infante in himself, but I've seen the leadoff spot do such funny things to people over the years that I'd probably just stick with what's worked and keep Prado up top. Although now that Infante is handled himself well in the leadoff spot for awhile, maybe I'd just leave him there. It doesn't really matter. I don't disagree with any part of your lineup.
The season really depends now on what Glaus does, IMO. If he doesn't start hitting the ball consistently again then the Braves are cooked.
The way Glaus has been moving around, I can't imagine that he could handle 3b.Good Luck Chipper, we was starting to come around after his slow start.
Do you think we move Glaus back to third and have Hinske play 1st?
From a business standpoint, there's a good case to be made from both the Braves and Chipper's perspective that it would be best if he didn't try to come back. I think they might be able to get the contract paid off by insurance.Chipper needs to sit down and have a long chat with Tom Glavine before he decides whether to rehab the injury and come back.
