I think it's the other way around. Tennessee was going after a quarterback to bring in skilled players. That didn't work out so they are selling to skills players to recruit a quarterback for us. Ambles said he was going to start calling quarterbacks to pitch UT. Here comes Bray and Newton :p

I know there has been some talk about a possible QB transfer, but I'm not sure if it has been queried whether Zach Mettenberger or Aaron Murray could be the Hamburglar. I don't know if it has, because, unfortunately, I don't have the 9 sick days saved up it would take to read all of this dribble.

Would be sweet though. Thoughts?

I don't understand that. I personally don't want Brunetti. Like I said, this staff didn't want Boyd so by going after Brunetti they are admitting they made a mistake with Boyd. Boyd was even taller and from what I've read Brunetti has a weaker arm. I really hope this staff goes after Bray the hardest. Unless the rumors about Sims not being sure about Bama are true. If that's the case... full speed ahead on Sims.

This is what Hubbs had to say when he asked Ambles about the "whale"....

I asked him about the quarterbacks at Tennessee and he said that he just felt comfortable with the direction of the program from the coaches and said he didn't know anything about a quarterback coming or being committed.

Having a private qb commitment makes no sense. Tennessee would want that out there so bad. I asked Kiffin about his comments in Nashville last week and he told me the qb he was talking about was Lamaison.

Brunetti proved at the UT camp that he could play in a pro-style system. He performed well enough to get the offer. Also, as tn391 said, his arm is definitely stronger than Boyd's. I wouldn't say Boyd is taller either. I think they are about the same height.

I haven't read that. On scouts they even list one of Boyds strengths as arm strength. Boyd also has a faster 40 times but ran less than Brunetti. Brunetti made a living out of running the ball. 704 yards on the ground with 18 rushing touchdowns. I don't know... I personally don't want Brunetti at all. May as well just run the wildcat formation with Brown and Oku :p

You hit the nail on the head young lady :salute:. It's called Sports Talk... Dr.B says stuff all the time he doesn't believe to get people to call in and raise hell. It's a pretty common practice.

And can someone show me where Tennessee has offered Brunetti?

There is an article that says Tennessee quarterback gets fifth offer and these are his offers according to scout; WV, Duke, Memphis, Miss St. and Tulsa. That's 5 offers right there. I think I recall hearing Tennessee offered him but neither Scouts or Rivals show an offer from Tennessee. I don't think he has an offer but could be wrong.

Maybe it never came? Lol. Just kidding. Rivals and Scout must be behind. That or they never sent him one :p. The only thing I like about Brunetti is that he is a Vol fan. Maybe the desire to be a Vol would help him overcome his of ability to pass the ball. I just don't believe he has that great of an arm on him. He ran so much in high school it was crazy.

I don't see how people look at Brunetti and say, "we can't win with this guy."

Assuming he fits the same mold as guys like Chris Leak or Pat White...Maybe with a bigger arm than Leak but a little slower than White...Regardless, the thing those two have in common? They won games. 69-20 combined, 6-2 in bowl games.

Of course, it doesn't really matter considering we probably won't get him but. Whatever.

They played in a spread option offense. Tennessee is implementing a pro style system. I believe Brunetti would fail miserably without being able to rely on his legs. JMO.

You need to chill the F out man. It was a joke to volleygirl because she was ranting. It's a well known common fact that women tend to be more edgy during that time of the month. I was simply joking. No need to try to cause hostility. Or have you not been around women enough to realize that they do become more irritated during the menstrual period? Either way, you need to learn how to take a joke.

This can't be a good feeling if you are a WVU fan. UT coming after a QB that has already verbaled to you. That's got to sound pretty familiar to them, gotta feel like deja vu all over again.

Still wish it would have been Heastie that swayed last year instead of Boyd, I have a feeling CLK wouldn't have told him he didn't fit in the system.
